Advice on purchasing a used golf cart

I may be in the market for a used golf cart in the very near future. I'm not looking for anything fancy, just something that is reliable and in good condition.
Any advice on where to start looking and experiences with making this type of purchase would be very helpful to me.

Golf Cart dealers may have used inventory.
My personal favorite: equipment auctions.
Check the batteries before purchasing. It can cost north of 1,500 to replace them. Figure that into the cost of whatever you’re buying.

A multimeter to check DC voltage
A visual inspection tells a lot. If they look old and beat to shite they’re probably nearing the end. They also might have a visible date sticker.

Beware of scammers. People will put a new body on an old frame and claim it’s a two year old cart. It’s rampant.
Learn to decode serial numbers for whatever make you’re looking at. If they won’t provide you with a photo of the serial number, run away.

Thank you Mr. Putt. I haven't decided on a budget because I haven't done enough research to understand the used golf cart market. I will keep your offer in mind as I proceed with this process.

No worries. Once you get a budget and you think you found something, come check the cart out and I will match that price. Won it in a hole in one contest and the cart has literally never been used.
