Played Cypress Lakes today, crazy round. Started with 6 straight one putt greens……missed all 6 greens just short or left. 2 nd round with new Titleist irons, a little longer than my previous irons so still trying to figure them out. Ended up with an 80 after a 37 front.

Playing Greystone Wednesday.

They actually were decent, much better than 3 weeks ago. You didn’t have to hammer putts today.

Good to know. Tee up to green it's in pretty good shape.

the fairways are usually hard as hell this time of year with no rain. Before the freeze, their greens were typically very good overall

Played La Taw yesterday. Birdied 1. Was -1 through 4. +1 through 6. Made a stupid double on 7 and it went off the rails. 88. Greens still bumpy and slow.

Lot of fertilization on the entire course has taken place over the last month. Lot of plush grass in the fairways. In addition to fertilization, regular cutting and rolling has the greens seeing extreme improvement over the past month as well. The new owners investment in equipment and overall money towards the course is starting to show and pay off. Sand traps are still needing attention but the tee boxes, fairways and greens are the best they have ever been.

played yesterday at Eaglebrook with ReauxlTide. Good dude, good course

I’ve got a couple vouchers for $85 rounds at the Copperhead course. Each one is good for a foursome at that rate for each player.

Seems like a solid deal and is good through December. I’ll give you a heads up when we get ready to use em to see if you can make it.

82 at golf club of Dallas yesterday
82 at Mesquite golf club this morning

Here's a pic of my drive at 18. 390 yard hole, 76 yards in, I calculate that right around 310 or so

How was it? I took my nephews out there like 4 years ago and it was an absolute ranch. Grass was literally that of a mowed cow pasture

It’s trash and over priced. Only reason I ever play it is because you can always get a tee time last minute. Decided yesterday at 6pm to play today with my 2 yr old tagging along.

$42 for a goat ranch

Today was the first time I've been out to Mesquite, but it was about the same price. The greens were actually really, really good. It's a straight out in front of you mini, but I'd definitely play it again, especially considering price.

I should have shot in the 70s both rounds this weekend. I drove it pretty bad both rounds and had an 8 and 9 iron on 2 par 3's today that I hit like 30+ yards offline just out of pure lack of focus.

It’s golf, happens to everyone. I stuffed a 5 iron 190 to 8ft then the next hole I missed the green from 50 yards

Seriously let’s play together, give me the course and the time I’ll meet you

So my 9 before church:

Par, birdie, bogey, bogey, bogey, double, triple, birdie, bogey.
Card looked like a phone number: 445456726
I really needed a 3 for a nice straight.

It is what it is.

The double was a hurried 3 putt.

The triple was “Even though I could not execute a simple tee shot, I’ll just cut this 5 wood around the tree onto the front of the green from the rough.” As it never turned, it ended up under a holly bush short side with an intervening bunker. All I needed to do was chip a 6 iron to the middle, pitch onto the green, and walk off with a bogey at worst, but no- I had to try the 20 yard cut from 180 in the rough. Why does my brain cease to function at times on the course?

I’m dumb. Golf is hard.
