When playing NCAA dynasty, what 3rd tier team would always go undefeated

make it to the title game and ruin any realism the game had. When I played NCAA 2005, Troy State (at the time) or Akron would always go undefeated the third of fourth year. More recently Utah State always seemed to have luck in NCAA 12, weird.

Yeah, always some WAC or Mountain West team like Utah or Boise going undefeated. I'd always try and move them to harder conferences or put one one my schedule or make one of them play Bama or something, but whenever I squashed one, two more contenders would emerge out of one of those conferences.

It would annoy me in 2006 when some asshat from WVU would win the heisman after my guy threw for 60 TD and ran for another 30.

SMU always had a running back with 1400 yard in the heisman race. In my online dynasty we have had to crush them and Arkansas State year after year.

Arkansas State goes undefeated every fricking year in mine and they always have a quarterback that throws 40 passes a game and somehow manages to accumulate 30+ carries as well. It pisses me off

Colorado State did it twice in a row in the first two seasons of one of my dynasties last year. Then I proceeded to rape them in the title game one year, while LSU waxed them the other

Arkansas State is always a top ten team in my dynasty. They always at least make a BCS bowl.

Something I've noticed regarding the heisman race, is if you look closely at the individual game stats, the computers play 15 minute quarters vs each other, while you're probably playing 5 minute quarters. So they typically all have more attempts at everything. Kinda dumb.
And stupid EA has been the same the last several years, where the heisman race almost always comes down to which of the top two candidates has the best conference championship, regardless of the rest of their stats.

Once I get about halfway through the season I will just play as that team in their next game and sabatoge them. Use super sim when needed and you can force them to lose in 5-10 mins. Just take the QB and run him out of his own endzone and run fake punts on 4th down and shite like that.

One of the mid-2000s versions always resulted in Rice being a 5 or 6* prestige by 2010 or 2011 and playing in BCS games. Still waiting.
They actually went 11-2 last year IRL with their two losses by a combined five points, so maybe that's not too far off.
