Gotta be Doom, that's the first time I really got invested into a PC game. Played on a Packard Bell 486 with 16mb of RAM and Windows 3.1

The original Planetside on the PC is still the most awesome gaming experience I ever had.

My first 2 PC games were Men In Black and Lands of Lore: Guardians of Destiny. Got them at Toys R Us for our brand new Gateway in roughly 1999 (I was 6 years old lol). I thought the MIB game was the best game ever, didn’t realize it got such bad reviews till many years later. Lands of Lore was amazing but the puzzles were very hard for kids. Had to use a guide in some parts once we got internet
Played this for the first time when I was in 6th grade, I played it on Xbox at my friends house and remembered there being a really difficult level at an airbase with some badass paratroopers. Played the entire thing on my PC last year. Outside of a few spots, it aged really well IMO. Had a great time.

I think mine is probably Return to Castle Wolfenstein. Great 1st person shooter.

Nah, I never really got the appeal. Content seems too easy with modern computing and connection capabilities. I played EMUs for several years, but that’s about it.

Great game. That multiplayer was fun as hell and I was only a preteen
I also liked the Command and Conquer series, with red alert & red alert 2..
Company of Heroes is a game that I STILL play
Also, chuck yeager had an airplane game where you could fly F-4s, F-86s, MIG15 & 17s, and the MIG 21

Star Control 2 / The Ur-Quan Masters
Super-melee mode was a selling point but having an entire galaxy to explore with resources to collect and mysteries to solve make it a favorite even 30 years later.
