I wouldn’t expect that until 2028 imo

They showed the first trailer for the 1st game a little over 2 years before release

To be fair they have a lot more institutional knowledge and stuff to work on. Maybe it’ll be closer to fall 2027

I hope I so stellar blade was amazing

You should check out phantom blade zero.

It looks out of this world almost unbelievably so

And all the content creators who I consider credible have gone hands on multiple times with it and rave about it

Apparently I’m really excited about it.

It is a September launch.

It sounds like it could be pretty skill dependent but it’s not a souls like at all. It’s 100% a hack and slash emphasis on perfect dodges and parries and doing combinations moves by using the 4 weapons you can have equipped at any time and mix and matching them to make combos.

Sounds like a bit more of an intense combat experience than stellar blade but idk haven’t played it just going off what the trailers show and people like Luke Stephens have said.

It’s the next like MAJOR Chinese game following the path wukong laid. After black myth saw so much success this game got delayed 2 years and an insane injection of funding. Hope it lives up to the billing

On the smaller game front I'll probably get the new He-man beat em up game when it comes out, Dragon Pearl of Destruction.

Just a retro early 90s style beat em up in line the TMNT arcade games of that era.

Atlus generally spreads their games out.

The good thing is with revival there will not be an endless string of spinoff dancing games, etc.

It also depends on what else they have in the pipeline. It’s going to release at a time when they have forecasted to their shareholders they’re expecting major profits.

If I had to guess it will play out like this

P4 revival releases next February

Summer games fest or some equivalent show will be the first official p6 trailer not a teaser like we got this year with the game releasing the back half of November 2028 coinciding with the end of that physical quarter

Just my best educated guess based on how they do stuff.

When it comes to SQE and Atlus I do know some people IRL who usually get to test the games early for QA feedback and get early codes and stuff like that.

I’ve asked about p6 and besides one saying he’s played the game but is bound by an extremely strict NDA can’t and won’t tell me more than that. Which I respect

Also know someone who has played the near final build of the upcoming FF resonance and he couldn’t and wouldn’t give me much specifics other than that it’s very very good.

He said it plays and reminds him of FF6 but with the new HD pixel art

I was told by imjustafatfrick that we shouldn’t be excited about games and that we are what’s the problem with the gaming industry

There’s a shite ton of tom frickery going on in the games industry right now but game quality isn’t one of them atm imo.

I mean just my list includes a game in September then 3 in late February next year but that’s just because idc about GTA and those 4 are all what we would call AAA games made by Capcom, some Chinese studio, SQE, and Atlus

Banger indie games drop all the time like the one Stronaught recommended me ITT I didn’t have a chance to play by like 30-45 minutes of it since my wife needed stuff done but I like it a lot so far.

Atlus has made a statement last night while we slept to a Japanese outlet they will be censoring a character from p4 original for revival.

There’s also what I see as a coordinated push to also get censored content into RE Veronica involving Alfred and his very weird relationship with Alexia.

Veronica is also potentially featuring a semi open world. I can actually see this working very well here unlike racoon city in RE9. This I got from someone I know who played a build that’s like 9 months old now so take it for what it’s worth but imo it tracks.

Let the first half of the game Rockford Prison be an open space then transition to linear story and set pieces when Chris enters the picture as well in Antarctica

Persona 4 Revival is my most anticipated game. I have probably a thousand hours across P3-P5R.

DQ Monsters: The Withered World. None of these games are amazing but I've enjoyed all of the ones I've played and DQ anything gets an immediate buy from me.

Final Fantasy Resonance. A return to turn based combat for FF that I have been wishing for for a decade. I don't preorder many games but I preordered this as soon as it was announced because I want SE to make a main title turn based FF game again.

Stranger than Heaven. I'm a big Yakuza series fan and while I'm not as excited for this one as I would be for the next mainline Yakuza game I am looking forward to it.

Last Fields of Mistria. I'm a sucker for cozy, farm sims. This has been in early access for years but the 1.0 release is on August 5th. I have only played the EA for a few hours, about a year ago, and I loved it but wanted to wait for the full release to do an actual playthrough.
