This PS5 has crashed at least a dozen times in two months. What a piece of crap.

This is why you never get new consoles right away. The frantic need to get one first off isn't worth it, and then they aren't sound in design yet.

Just sent my PS5 off today. I think it died so hopefully I'll get a replacement soon.

I don't think the PS5 is a piece of crap but what were you playing when it crashed?

I only played the Series X for a few days but my son complained about an issue with the controllers syncing a couple days ago but that was resolved with a restart.

Well if figured it has been in development for what...5+ years...now of never.

Just crashing at random points. Start up PS+ Games. Crashing in the middle of well sorted games like Spider-Man (2018), COD, etc.

Just a bunch of garbage.

Worst game of all. Madden. Will crash at least 1/3 times you play.

Mine kept freezing until finally froze for the last time. No specific game.

That's the only real issue I've had as well. I feel like that had to come along with a recent update because I didn't notice it happening until like 2 or 3 weeks ago.

Other than that, Civ VI has had some crashes but it's notoriously unstable on consoles so I think it's more of an issue with the game than the system. Outside of those things, it's been running like butter. Been playing Madden, Valhalla, and FIFA 21 mostly with no issues.

Madden was so damn smooth on the Series X, I have been relegated back to my PS4 with Madden now. He plays Destiny 2 99% of the time and has mentioned several times how much better it looks on the new console.

I don't have issues with crashing. Only bugs I've run into is that Cold War will always crash when I turn on my PS5 after going into rest mode while in multiplayer.

Can't speak for X, but I have a series S and it's been a beast. No issues yet (besides storage space which will soon be remedied). I haven't had a console since ps3, how fast this thing loads games. Quick resume feature alone is a game changer.

That piece of shite crashes on my more than capable PC. Never went back to beat the Campaign. Was going to do it in 1-2 sittings and it crashed on the stealth mission in East Berlin. Haven't even gone back to try it yet; actually it's uninstalled completely.

The best versions of these systems will be out in 3 to 4 years.

Buying a brand new system is like playing roulette

My X has been solid. No issues. Top vent keeps my beverages warm. Quick resume is nice but I normally grind games and don’t jump around. I have a top end TV which this finally has shown me how badass it is HDR and all. Has never crashed.

If I need to upgrade in 3 or 4 years then I can live with that. I'll sell the current console I have and just eat the difference. For me, it's better than sitting around and yearning for months on end
