The artwork style just makes me happy while playing. It's so pleasant. Maybe 20 year old me would hate it, but 37 year old father of 3 me finds peace in it.

Finished the first dungeon yesterday. Really enjoying it so far. Just uncovered Gerudo Desert waypoint.

I'm embarrassed to say it took an hour or two to figure out that if you lay down on the bed echo, it restores your hearts like the hot springs in BOTW/TOTK, no matter where you are.

Is this a good game, i got factorio expansion coming but i'll buy if this is good. The trailers might have not done it justice.

Agreed. It's not BOTW or TOTK, but it is a very fun game in the Zelda world that scratches that itch that I need every 18 months or so.

I’m digging it. Took a little longer than most Zelda games to hook me tho. Prolly two hours in I got the hang of the new combat system and the map opened up.

Love seeing all the landmarks from A link to the past on Super Nintendo scattered around the map.

Yeah, I'm almost complete with the Gerudo Rift, (I think I found the Master key right before going to bed last night), and it's been fun so far.

I actually find myself seeking out new enemies so I can get additional echoes.

Right. I am finding myself trying to completely bypass old enemies if there is no reward to engaging them. If I see something new, I definitely make it a point to kill them.

I like how enemy echoes can (must) be used to navigate through many areas in the dungeons.

The hardest part for me to remember is the binding/move w/ X skill.

I like this also, Give you a random enemy in the first room, see if you can figure out how to use it to claim the prize. Kinda gives random caves a Trial feeling.

I discovered yesterday that there are smaller, non-dungeon rifts that you can rescue Tri's friends and gain XP for your Echo power inbetween major dungeons. The chapel on the East Central part of the map is the one I found.

I think I'm going to roam around next. I am on the Zora rift now, and I beat the Gerudo stuff first. I think I will just wander around aimlessly after to try to do things like that and see what I can find.

That's been my favorite part of the game, so far. That you don't have to unlock the ability to swim/dive and can explore the water areas right from the jump has been a nice development from Link's Awakening.

I was up until 1 AM playing this last night. I’ve never played a top down Zelda game before and I love this. The art style is great

I'm jealous of you man. You can go right out of this game and play Link to the Past on Switch online. Then, Link's Awakening Switch version is the exact same art style as Echoes of Wisdom.
