Whoever thought of the idea that you should control and somehow sympathize with the person that just brutally murdered a beloved video game character should be fricking shot on sight. What a stupid fricking idea.

Exactly. Starting you out as Abby and the player not knowing who the frick it is or who she’s trying to kill only to realize, after you yourself killed Joel, that it’s too late to take it back.


Then switching to Ellie and staying with her as both you and her are on a war path to avenge Joel. That’s enough to carry people through a very long game. You can’t flip to Abby again. Who the frick is going to want to play those missions? Even if Joel did kill her mom or dad or whoever the frick at the very end of the first game. People just aren’t going to give a frick about playing that side of the story. Plain and simple. Of course all the liberals will say people are just freaking out because Ellie and Abby are lesbians but no one gives a flying frick about that.

It’s idiotic, careless decision making and thought process with the story and characters that has people up in arms. And I’m someone who hasn’t even played the first game. Someone spoiled it for me so I never got around to playing. I can’t imagine how irate I’d be if I had invested in these characters and story only to find out this is the sequel
