For anyone who enjoys this series, it released for digital download today. They also announced today that they are now partnered with 2K as they are the ones publishing the game now.

Awesome. Hopefully it includes Augusta because the stupid fricks at EA never put that course on the last game they released

It doesn't include Augusta officially, but there is always a really good user created version every year. I think there are only 6 real courses in the game at this time, I am sure they will add more though.

just looked it up, the real courses as of now are

TPC of Scottdale
TPC of Boston
TPC of Sawgrass
TPC of Deere Run
TPC of Southwind
TPC of Summerlin

Is this the equivalent to the Tiger Woods series? Can you play with real golfers or is it strictly a Create a Player?

I think I've been playing PGA Tour, the one with Rory on the cover, for a few years now. I haven't seen a new golf game out there. I'll drop the $50 if you can play with the real golfers and all of the golf courses.

I would say the Tiger Woods series is a arcade version of golf and TGC is more a simulation, you aren't gonna pick up TGC for the first time and shoot 20 under par like you would with TW.

They have a few real courses and thousands of user created courses and the game comes with a course builder to build your own and publish them for all to play. They always have some legit versions of of real courses out there. The course designer that comes with the game is the same one that the developers used to create the game

Strictly create a player this year, this is the first year that they have the PGA license. They said they want to have them in the future but its difficult because having the PGA rights doesn't give them the players, they have to license each player individually.

I have the Rory PGA tour game, but I probably haven't touched it in 2 years. I might have to check this out.

Dont go into it expecting Rory/Tiger Woods, its not that type of game. There no ball path putting line so you can line your putt up perfectly and no changing the ball spin in mid air.
