Anyone ready for this game? Yeah it's supposed to be woke but from the reviews it's pretty good. The first one was amazing but....

Wasn’t happy when they dropped Jin for this chick. Looks good gameplay wise but probably won’t pick it up until a sale down the road

Don’t forget about the destructible Torii gate they thought would enhance the immersive experience.

Jin has so much more story left. All time great video game character
I’ll wait to get this on sale but with Tsushima being so incredible they’ve earned a chance on Yotei even with the nonsense of the actress

I do find scrapping Jin for what appears to be a far more generic revenge plot to be a puzzling decision, especially when the original game seemed to lay the groundwork for continuing adventures.

I heard a story after this game was announced that Sucker Punch wants this to be more of an Assassin's Creed type of franchise, with a different character in each one.

I'll wait for a PC port but I think the success or failure of this game rests on how it executes it's premise.
If it's got a similar vibe to Kill Bill and is a stylistic revenge story? great.
If it's some overwrought girlboss bullshite? nah.
You can do female protagonists well, but modern creators really seem to struggle with making the attempt without becoming absolutely insufferable.
I really haven't looked too deeply into it, so I can't say what the vibe for this game is overall. I have seen legit criticism and overblown criticism in recent years with other titles, so I'll keep an open mind when I go to evaluate purchasing later.
I don't know that I want or need another open world anthology series that has rotating protagonists. They could have done another story with Jin to close out this franchise and that would have been fine. I guess the appeal of name recognition and sequels is just too strong.

I'll pick it up when its around $30. Its a wait and see how it is type game due to the nonsense integration.
