I maxed out the upgrades on the sky tunic, so the past few days I've been grinding it out in the underworld finding the rest of the set. Now that it's done I'm scrounging for sapphires and trying to get star fragments at night to upgrade them.

I only have the Gerudo temple left, but I think I'm gonna knock out the rest of the side adventures and quests first to drag the game out a bit.

I don’t even care about progressing the story as much as I want all four powers lol

Just finished the last region temple. Now to track down every side quest and knock out the last of the depths. I have a lot of backtracking to do now I know there's stuff down there that was only accessible via regional powers.

If I had to guess, probably have another 50 hours to go. For now, I'm not hunting all 1,000 Koroks.

No story progress for me since finishing Wind either. Hell Central Hyrule and Hebra are still the only regions of the map I've unlocked and I'm still exploring them.

One complaint I have is that crystal switches are annoyingly inconspicuous in this game. Twice I've been burned in shrines wasting time trying to figure out what to do when a damn crystal was sitting there the whole time.

I'm in the same boat as far as only having the Gerudo area left and running side quests. I've spent the last few days finding the shrines based on the light roots. I also have a ton of random marks on my map that looked interesting when I was first exploring, but now I have no idea what any of them are.

I'm glad they made the star fragments seem more abundant in this game. I've had a couple fall right next to me when I was jumping off a sky island, and I managed to catch them before they hit the ground.

Anyone else been skydiving and had a shooting star fly past you? I've caught about half a dozen on the way down.

I'm still duplicating on v1.0.0

I was not about to hunt 35 silver lynel fangs or whatever for great fairy upgrades. I still need a handful more pieces of outfits to find and I'll have them all maxed out.

Then, I'll update with patches and wait until the inevitable DLC(s).

The new duplicating hack is pretty easy too. Shoot 3x or 5x arrows with what you want attached at some tunnel and they freeze and drop the goods. I put a travel medallion there too so I could go back.

I wasn't going to do it but damn I got tired of grinding for 60 sapphires.

Been loving the game so far. Really my only complaint are the temples. Wish they mirrored a traditional Zelda temple and not a Devine Beast. But besides that the game has been awesome. The depths has been a fun surprise as was really only expecting the sky area in addition to the main land.

same. they made it seem like "temples were coming back!" but in reality it's just more of the Devine Beasts stuff. I love the puzzle solving, don't get me wrong, but I think I'd prefer the dungeon crawl type from old Zelda games.

Also, maybe it's just me, but the 4 regional temples have been incredibly easy, much more so than the Devine Beasts.

With that said, I think the Shrines in TotK are much more fun to solve than the BotW shrines. IMO

The temples at least have unique themes, but I think most will agree with you they aren’t quite as good as pre-BOTW dungeons

Like a lot of people have mentioned on here, I beat the wind temple weeks ago and have refused to progress the story at all. I only get to play about an hour a day if I'm lucky. I feel like Zonaite creates a bit of a conundrum. I need Zonaite to either buy items from the dispenser or to autobuild. I also need to collect Zonaite to increase battery power. I keep watching these videos of guys creating awesome battle droids and wiping out monster gangs. I feel like I basically have to live in the depths in order to come close to having the battery power to actually use these things.

I think the Master Kohga fights yield a lot of crystallized charges to aid in battery upgrades. I’ve only done two of them but the dialogue strongly implied this and I got a lot of them as a reward for the second fight.

The Yiga having bases in the depth is a cool part of the game I ran into for the first time recently. I did not expect to find two Yigas riding around on weaponized Zonai vehicles down there.

Yep, so basically I built up my battery taking on the large bosses in the underground, raiding bokoblin camps, and infiltrating yiga forts.

The large bosses, yiga forts, and bokoblin camps will land you the charges and large zoanite (one of the bokoblins will have a rock hammer on hand, and smashing those zoanite deposits gives you a mix of regular and large zoanite chunks).

I trade in the large zoanite for large charges to upgrade the battery with every blood moon. I keep the small zoanite to auto-build vehicles with.

I built up my battery really quickly doing this... but I just found out a couple of days ago that after getting all of the batteries, you can upgrade them even further so I'm starting all over again.

Ya I beat the water temple in like 5 minutes. However the fire temple reminded me of an old school dungeon for the simple fact I kept getting turned around and confused on what to do lol. Especially that last lock.

As others said, the game really seems to encourage you to take on more enemies in the depths to upgrade your battery. Like you I was getting frustrated with low battery life early on but once I realized you clear camps and beat bosses down there, it will upgrade pretty quickly

Tukarok Shrine: awesome. Favorite shrine so far (out of 30ish).
