Would I enjoy the Hogwarts game if I don't know anything about Harry Potter? Never read it or seen any movies. It's 40% off and looks like I'd like it, but I don't know how much I'd need to know about the Harry Potter universe.

The events in the game happen over a century before the events in the books/movies, so you really don't need to know anything. With that said, some of the magic of the game is being able to run around Hogwarts castle, so you might lose a little bit without already being familiar with it, but I doubt it would be a ton.

I honestly don't think so. It gets pretty repetitive.

So far from checking out Hunter:CoTW about the new dog dlc I ended up with all the currently available dlc and just for logging in got a thx giving camo pack (Halloween got one too so am expecting Xmas and maybe new year’s camo release).

Got a backlog of games still to crack open so pretty much limit my purchasing to STEEP discounts, about $15 max. I am in such poor health it’s hard to game a lot to get caught up. Subbed to Xbox doesn’t encourage a lot of purchasing either really, does encourage sampling.(keeping me distracted from the backlog though)

While it does, that's primarily an issue for completionists. Because yes, most of the puzzle/collectible/side content sucks arse. But the core game itself is really fun. Could have been a lot better had much of the depth not been cut, but still, I think it's worth playing, especially if you get it on sale.

I bought Immortals of Aveum for $30. That's a good price for it. Exactly the type of game that you buy on a Steam sale

It's also why I hate the way Steam does sales. The front page never changes. I had no idea that game was on sale until I was just clicking through the EA catalogue.

I also bought Star Wars Squadrons for like $1.50

It’s a great purchase in 2023 especially when at a discount

The storefront is basically useless. I’ve become extremely liberal with what I put in my wishlist, as that’s the only way I know I’ll be notified if something interesting goes on sale.

Can confirm. I’m pretty much giving up on it about a dozen hours in.
