It has a dock though, so you could play on your tv as well!

Has there been any confirmation from an article if emulators can run on it? I'm assuming so, but I wouldn't want to pay for a reservation just on an assumption

Here's a 13 min video of someone discussing the emulation potential on the Steam Deck: LINK

Seeing as it's at Q2 of 2022 now that may be awhile That may be good though so the Q1 buyers can work out all the kinks and fully figure out how to maximize the emulators

I did love how the guy complained about the price difference between the lower end and high end model yet bought the high-end one.

Reserved the middle option. I don't think an anti-glare glass is worth $120 and I can't imagine when that would become an issue as I don't expect to be playing this outside.

Especially since the SSD is upgradeable yourself.

First thing I did when I preordered my Switch was buy one, and I plan to do the same with this

They're so cheap now and can wait for Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales to get one even cheaper

I put a reservation in for the cheapest option.

Just plan on using it around the house streaming my gaming PC and for emulators on the go

I've already started compiling a list of N64/PS2 games on up that I need roms for

Sometimes I think I need to look in the mirror but I don't give a shite

I have a large library up through the SNES and a couple PS1 games (I ran out of room on my Retropie SD card), so I have some work to do

I do.. just don't play them as much as I used to or am captivated by them as long as before in a given sit down. Probably post and read more about games on this board than I actually play.

So I've been a console gamer forever, but have always wanted a gaming PC so that I could play all the Soulsborne mods. I'll only be using this docked since I'm a couch/tv gamer.

I just put the deposit down on the 256GB option, and I assume that's the one I want? I have plenty of large SD cards from my Switch that I'll presumably be able to use with the Steam Deck.

That's the one I went with. Four times as much internal storage, and faster than the base model.

I only went with the 64gb model since the emmc storage will be plenty fast. Also most of my ROMS/games will probably be stored on a SD card anyway to copy them off my server

Not getting this for the same reason I'm not picking up a Switch yet. I'll be playing docked to my TV >99% of the time. I just want to be able to play Nintendo exclusives in 4k above 30fps. Is that too much to ask?
