I initially thought I wouldn’t take to the space travel, Star map, and the UI changes related to this game.
After a few sessions, it feels like second nature. Once you start to get a feel for the systems, it gets more natural.
I also switched from kb/m to a controller and I am finding that I like that more.

I'm level 32 in about 30 hours. I cruised through the UC and Freestar quest lines. The UC one takes quite a long time.
The only truly difficult part was a ship battle for me so far. Once you figure out how to fight ship to ship, it gets much easier.
If you are trying to level Piloting up to 4, go to the UC simulator and grind it out. The Piloting challenge is to destroy ships and ships destroyed in the simulation count for the challenge.

One of the beloved Bethesda bugs happened yesterday for me. Killed a crimson fleet pirate, guy spazed out into the ceiling and died stuck there, looking like he hanged himself.
These are the type of little combat quirks that make Bethesda games awesome.

Had that one too. Dude was ascending to heaven until he wasn't.

That's good to hear.

I almost did this an hour or two in. I will try it tonight to see how it goes.

Finished up the quest line you pickup on akila (sp?) where you join the space rangers. It’s a fairly long quest line and started it at lvl 17ish without much difficulty.
Holy shite is the final reward worth it. Was not expecting that. No spoilers but it’s one you might want to do pretty early on to give you a big boost

I had a pirate get hung on very tip of the upstairs collapsed walkway railing. Made a very convincing hanging.
What made me literally laugh was one of the smaller herd animals I chased like a bad centerfielder that rag dolled about 500 meters it turns out.
It’s also gotten kinda comical how easy it is to capture and sell ships.

My hobby in this game is passing speech checks to avoid violence then immediately committing all the violence.

Anyone playing on an S ? My son is getting tired of me sitting in his room, lol.
if he's on X I'm on PC and vice versa..Tried to play over cloud and oddly enough it was as bad as trying to stream from the X...(Gb fibre LAN, so not the issue)
PS5 is already on my tv, so no way wife signs off on a PC there too, especially just for this game

If you have gamepass, you should be able to use the Xbox app to download a copy of the game to your pc, if that helps.

I have not played on S but have heard it’s running fairly well on it

I started this quest line last night. Great to hear. Have been trying to knock out the Constellation quest line. Lv 26 This game is amazing. I'm playing on Series X and the wife is on PC. We both really enjoy it while having completely different experiences.

I just bought an S, pretty much to play this game.
I’ve only played for 30 mins. Running fine so far.
The opening gave me that same feeling that I got with the original Mass Effect.
I love space games.

So I tried playing on my Lenevo Legion and it is just not good enough for me. Not sure on whether to buy an Xbox X or invest in a Gaming PC down the line

I tried it on a work laptop earlier to try and get around my question, and it was slow/laggy over cloud
then, I unplugged it from the TV and its actually great..
id say play it over cloud before you shell out for another machine

Nothing like playing a game such as Starfield with the graphics maxed out while getting ridiculous fps

I'm running a 3060 rtx amd, 5600x and an MSI QD 2560x1440. I've tried different setting but medium at least in new Atlantis looks the best. If anyone has some setting suggestions please let me know.

The game itself feels so good for real. I haven't experienced any bugs. I'm playing on PC with a PS5 controller so the command prompts aren't exact accurate but pretty intuitive none the less. I can see myself sinking alot of time into this one. It feels familiar enough from fallout to have a good bearings while being fresh enough to keep you wanting more.
I'm super satisfied and hope it buys time for Diablo 4 to right the ship.

Had anyone seen fallout easter eggs or anything? Surely there has to be some in this game?
