The reviews make it sound like if you like FO4, then you'll like this. I really liked FO4, and I can't wait to do it in space. I dumped massive, and I mean massive, amounts of time into both Skyrim and FO4, and judging by reviews, I'll be dumping massive amounts of time into this game.
I haven't gotten too deep in the weeds on the written or video reviews to avoid seeing too much before I play. Just kind of read the headlines. I'm out all this weekend, so I'll have to wait until the 5th.
Can't wait to play vanilla a couple times through and then unleash the mods.

I don't care about the ability to travel from one end of the planet to another, but how "small" the play area is for some of these planets sounds disappointing.
Also, we all knew aspects of the game were going to feel/look dated just because of Bethesda's refusal to abandon the creation engine.

Reading all these reviews full of gripes and wondering how much they got paid to stil give 7/10 and 75% scores.
Vibe im getting is it sucks until 70+ hours in. Considering all the reviewers stuck to main story and ignored thr thousands of side fetch quests. That's beyond sad and seems more like stockholm syndrome

The mediocre reviews I'm seeing are people that did the main story and wanted the game to be revolutionary. Even the most meh reviews are saying it's basically Skyrim in space, which is legit all I wanted.
I haven't played the game and won't play it for another week plus, but it just feels like people are comparing it to insane hype instead of what it actually is.

Makes sense. I didn't play past the third mission of the Skyrim main quest for 12 years but probably have 1000 hours in that game, and I've only done the Fallout 4 main quest twice and probably have 500 in there. I play these games for the world. In this case worlds.

I'll freely admit, I thought BoTW was overrated and missed not having real dungeons, so I do get everyone has different opinions.

I agree BOTW was highly overrated, but in what way are these two games comparable? It’s like that reviewer is saying this game isn’t like this other game I like so this game is shite!
