It's tough to judge for someone like me that's full PC gaming at this point, but I don't think it'll be bad like the doomsayers are predicting.
Bethesda wants it to run smoothly and still look beautiful. If it were 60 fps on consoles, you'd probably be giving up texture and lighting quality and it'd be a lot choppier.

30FPS is unplayable these days. It's been long rumored it's not stable 30 either with plenty of dips.

Someone tweeted at Pete Hines (marketing director for Bethesda) asking if you could explore an entire planet when you landed on it. He replied with "Yup, if you want. Walk on, brave explorer." Implying that you could walk out of your ship after landing, go around the entire planet, and come up behind your ship. However there are conflicting instances where that may not be true. Some valid, others not. I'm trying not to read too much more into it just incase it's spoiler-y stuff. People are digging deep, dissecting his reply to determine if it was marketing speak, or not. I just want this damn embargo to lift.

Yeah, there’s a lot of people who seem to think they are getting a life simulator with this game. Just setting themselves up for disappointment. This will still be a Bethesda game at heart.

Not all 30 FPS is created equal. Whether it be frame pacing, motion blur, or some combination thereof, some games have a much more tolerable 30 FPS mode than others.

The tiles that are generated when you land take like 40 minutes to go completely across supposedly. Don’t see the big deal, it’s not like you’ll have to be constantly going back to your ship to move to the next tile.

30FPS is still 30FPS. Unplayable.
It's going to be really rough on those with next Gen consoles that have been playing 120FPS games.
Very curious to see if they managed to fix the 25FPS dips issue as well. This was the main reason for the delay afterall.

It just cracks me up that after the initial game reveal people were outraged because it was a "rip-off of NMS". And now people are upset because you can't do the same things you can do in NMS.
