A few issues that still need to be ironed out, but the gameplay and features look incredible.

Never played the tabletop or the first game. Watched a few lore videos after seeing gameplay trailers. Pretty sure I'm gonna buy this one and not regret it.

Yea 40k lore, for the most part, remains uncorrupted with excessive estrogen or agenda BS. This new game looks like a throwback to mid 2000s shooters like GOW, but with modern features. I am super hyped.

Never played anything in regards to Warhammer and what not, but it definitely reminds me of Gears of War and I love those games. Really interested in this.

It’s generally considered a no-no to preorder games this day and age to not reward studios releasing dogshit broken games, but based on what has been shown and because I’m a big fan of the 40k universe, I preordered the ultimate edition because I know I’m going to invest a lot of hours into the game.

Haha. For the bread and butter wargame, this is true. However, there are a number a pretty decent RPGs out from Cubicle 7 that you could play for that price tag.

It’s been filtering in for a number a years now, and they’ve also begun taking the edge off of some of the grimdark in places, too, in my opinion.

I think as the popularity has taken off (and likely will even further when the Amazon show gets made) they seem to be wanting to move away from the sexualized side of Slaanesh a bit because Americans are just a little more weirded out about that stuff than European audiences. I think the god/thing the Ynnari worship is going to kill and replace Slaanesh and just be about the pain/torment side and fill that void for factions like the Drukhari.

Apparently the show itself is in Jeopardy of even being made. I don't know if it's because Henry Cavill himself is putting his foot down and not budging on "modernizing" 40k, or if it's a money issue or what, but supposedly the production is at a standstill.

I am honestly kind of surprised at how little talk this game release is getting right now. Based on a lot of the talk I have seen, it would not shock me to see this game have a huge release.
Specifically, I have seen a lot of Helldivers 2 players who have been frustrated with their incompetent devs talking about dropping the game to switch to SM2 at release.

They have confirmed it, but I wouldn't be surprised if it takes a week or two to get resolved. Cautiously optimistic here.
I've always like WH Fantasy more and never really got in to 40k (outside of normal autistic research binges), but I am extremely excited about this game. All the footage and reviews seem to indicate that it's well polished and beautiful.
