You're completely blind if you don't see what's going on in society.

Nothing is allowed to cater to men anymore.

Whether it's sports, video games, action movies, poker, whatever. Any industry or product where men are the primary consumer, there is a purposeful and overwhelming effort being made to destroy things men like in substitute for things women prefer.

Feminine values are being celebrated and pushed as the healthy, the normal. Masculinity and male interests are viewed as a problem that should be shamed or fixed.

People are noticing and are angry about it.

Nobody gave a shite about Samus being a woman because it wasn't part of some social politics pandering strategy.

Or the female operators in Siege. Siege has a community like the old CODs, pretty damn toxic (toxic enough to where people were complaining about how they couldnt type the n-word, f-word, c-word, etc anymore) yet nobody gives a single frick that some operators are female.

Its when companies start pushing agendas that piss people off.

This stuff is also not happening in isolation.

The Boy Scouts don't exist anymore, they are just the Scouts now, gotta be for everybody.

Playboy dropped their "Entertainment for men" subheading a few years ago.

Cheerleaders had to go co-ed in the NFL (and likely won't exist in another decade or so) because having hot women in tiny outfits clearly signals this is a product for men and something that men enjoy. We simply can't have that.

Ghostbusters, Star Wars, Comic Books, yeah all that shite that has always been overwhelmingly for young men? That's gotta change!

Things primarily for boys/men have to be changed to be for "everyone"

There is a mass feminization of society going on, in schools, in politics, the entertainment industry, you name it.

This is true.

It is just hitting video games and those who oppose it tend to be very vocal about their opposition.

I can definitely see the cause for the complaints as it's historically inaccurate and a lot of people look for that in games like Total War. I don't think the pushback would be as severe if it weren't for the constant attack the gaming industry has been under by harpies like Sarkeesian. This seems like a built up retaliation to me.

In my experience, gamers have had no issue with female representation in games when it makes sense. Samus, Tomb Raider, Bayonetta, Mirror's Edge, Horizon, etc. None of these were met with any pushback because it wasn't a clear social justice move and their existence makes sense within the context of the game they're in. This Total War stuff makes zero sense within the context of the game and timeline it takes place in.

Problem is most of you see all inclusion this way and can't be convinced otherwise.

I'll say this about Total War, the fanbase skews much older. 20s/30s is an easy average. And the people who play the historical titles REALLY CARE about the history part of it. Like, you have people who mod in proper color feathers in helmets based on that region of the world. The little things matter a lot to them.

And I do kinda feel for you Sic. You're only an SJW by the extreme right of TD standards.

If they had just allowed people to make female characters in MP in the new BF without making it the center point of their entire ad campaign, no one would have given a shite.

Hell, later Halo games allowed people to make female characters and no one cared.

And people like you reject any complaints against inclusion even when they are forced, like Ciri being a black girl in the Netflix series.

Exactly. I’m somebody who will play as a male character then switch over to a female character in games (example: Blackout) I honestly don’t care and am all for inclusion. I dont need to see it shoved in my face. It goes both ways, if it were some male character pushing some political campaign, I’d take issue with it.

Even after all of that, I was still willing to pay $60 for BFV... then they said “don’t like it don’t buy it” that told me they knew it was a political campaign and they were trying to score “points” with the liberal agenda. After that I pre ordered BLOPS 4, which by the way SJWs, has females. It’s not an inclusion issue, it’s a political one invading our gaming issue.

That was a response to the backlash. Think you're reaching with that one.

And someone is going to have to explain to me how "inclusion of women" is a negative political issue, and one that you can defend
