I was a fan of ff6-10. Haven't played any since. I'm don't think ffxv is comparable to any of those games. I played the demo but nothing really excited me about it. I just can't find any motivation to play it.

Most people really enjoy it, but it's not like your traditional FF games.

Well definitely don't spend money on it if you have to force yourself to be interested

Wondering the same thing.

I think I might wait until summer when it's probably $30 or less.

Still too much to play right now, and if it isn't mind blowing, it can wait.

It is a good game but lack of story and fetch quest keep it from being a great game.

If you didn't like the demo. Don't buy it.

I was unsure about the demo personally, but I love the full game. Don't know what clicked to change my mind other than I had watched Kingsglaive and knew more what was going on.

It's a good, not great action RPG. And it's still unfinished.

Square Enix said that they plan to release free updates in the future to flesh out some of the cutscenes in the game.

got it fo free. santa's the shite.

I'm kind of afraid to read through the 30 page thread. I'm two hours in and am just enjoying walking around the world. doing the dave sidequests.

I was a huge fan of the originals and I've been looking forward to this for a while.

for those that are further ahead, how does it unfold?

Slowly for those doing a lot of questing.

Quick for those who aren't.

I didn't like it very much, but I appear to be in the minority.

it has aspects that show a lot of promise, but I think it's a subpar final fantasy game.

I thought it was the best game of 2016 and I have never been a FF fanboy at all. Only played a 4-5 of the other games and never spent a crazy amount of hours on them either.

The story is complained about a lot, but I never found myself asking wtf was happening. I also watched Kingsglaive, so that may be why.

The character we play as (Noctis) was not in faraway places so I didn't expect to be shown shite happening miles away from me. For some reason, other people thought they deserved that.

The story I thought was great and it was an emotional ending, at least for myself.

If you haven't, I suggest you watch Kingsglaive on Amazon Prime. it gives a lot of backstory. There is also an anime, but I didn't see that as nearly as vital as Kingsglaive.
