Ubi, EA, EPIC, GOG, not so much, but Steam would break my soul.

Hopefully they would give the opportunity to download owned games. If so, losing Steam would suck.

If not, it would likely mark the end of my PC gaming hobby, period.

pretty sure the whole point of GOG was if it shut down your games would still work

also why I buy games on there instead of steam unless i plan on modding or its a lot more expensive.

It would hurt, but probably 85% of my library is games I've either never touched or have maybe 15 minutes in it. So it will be mixed.

Steam getting fricked sideways would be pretty devastating to pc gaming.

Between that and rising component costs, I think it would push many out of the hobby.

I would be more or less here. Maybe play some nostalgic games at GoG?

Not at all. Other than some Jackbox games for virtual work things, my entire Steam library is free games. I like having physical media.

About half of my games are from GOG, because they had a sale at the right time or because I wanted the game to be available even if I was offline.

Losing Steam would suck, but I'd still have a pretty decent library of games to occupy my time.

Thankfully, I sold all my CSGO skins a few months ago when Nadeshot and Tim were ripping cases like crazy. I did sell my butterfly doppler for like 6k and watched it moonshot to like 14k the following two weeks so that hurt lol.

Not even going to post mine. I vomited a little when I saw the hours. Price per hour .05.

The sickening part is that doesn't include the 4 year addiction to Runescape.

I miss actually owning physical copies of my games and using Xfire as the social platform.

I'm not even sure how else to get modern Paradox games which is most of what I play these days.

I think the entire PC gaming community is a bit terrified of the day Lord Gaben shuffles off this mortal coil, as it’s hard to conceive of a realistic scenario in which Valve doesn’t immediately get acquired and/or go public and then immediately go to shite.

Eta: Ok, I suppose it’s not utterly outlandish that Gabe’s oldest son would nominally take over and just roll in the money while continuing to be a race car driver, but still, no one really wants to roll the dice on what comes after Gabe.

100% will happen, expect an investment firm to be one of highest bidders and bilk everything out of it, with skins, add ons, etc. I twill die as many of their purchases do, once they pilfered it of its cash.
