Ronda Rousey to voice Sonya Blade in Mortal Kombat 11

I think the Tricia Helfer version from MKX is better, but I understand why Boon went this direction. However, I think her voice is wrong for a woman in her 50's (3-star General in the current timeline). They changed Scorpion's voice actor as well (Raiden is still voiced by Richard Epcar, Sub-Zero is still voiced by Steve Blum and Shinnok is still voiced by Troy Baker)
Playable characters revealed so far include:
-Raiden
-Baraka
-Sonya
-Skarlet
-Sub-Zero
-Scorpion
-Geras (new character with Chrono-powers)
-Shao Kahn (for those who preorder)
Other characters who may be playable later shown in yesterday's reveal include:
-Liu Kang
-Kung Lao
-Kitana
-Cassie Cage
-Shinnok (getting his head cut off in the prologue by Raiden)
-Chronica (apparent main antagonist who is the Goddess of Time)

I have no idea. Supposedly the story mode will involve competing timelines. Two of the scenes hinted at included Liu Kang battling Revenant Liu Kang and Kung Lao telling Revenant Kung Lao, "the thought of becoming you disgusts me!"

The notable omissions would be Mileena (died in MKX), Dvorah, Cyber Sub/Cryax/Sektor, Fujin/Frost/Rain (appeared in MKX), Shinnok ( beheaded in MKX ending), Quan Chi ( beheaded in MKX), Takeda, Shang Tsung (died in MK9), and Sindel (died in MK9), and Goro.
I'd be pretty shocked if Mileena and Fujin didn't make it in the game somehow.

Mileena is bisexual (or rather, she'll frick anything)

Oh frick MK, I’m a MK fan and even I think it’s stupid they even bother with this backstory shite. Nothing Boon has done with the franchise outside of MK9 since Tobias has gone separate ways with him has proven anything memorable. Which is ironic because when you think about it MK9 is pretty much just a definitive remastered edition of the first 3 games.
Tobias made his arse and after they left Boon ran with it and later on hit a gold mine with Warner Bros.

Well, it was primarily the movies that got people interested in MK lore, but it mostly has to do with NS attempting to find ways to hook people who are primarily interested in a single player experience. All of their games starting with MK vs DC have had a single player storyline.
