I'm playing City right now and I still say its the best Batman story in all of games and movies. The voice acting and characterization is top notch all around. Gameplay is solid too. Haven't played Origins, not sure if its canon since its not from Rocksteady. My list is City, Knight, Asylum.

I just started playing Origins on PS Now and despite the glitchiness of it, I really really enjoy it. I wish they’d make a sequel to it. I enjoy playing in the pre-Arkham Batman world and as a young Batman. The detective sequences are some of the best in the series too, something I wish City and Knight did more of. And a weird thing to like, but it’s my second favorite bat suit in the series behind Asylum. Was never a fan of the blue one in City and the all blackish/armor one in Knight. Asylum and Origins have the perfect bat suits.
But you might be right about City. Overall, it’s a better story I think but I do love that isolated feeling Asylum brought out.

I kind of agree. Batmobile was kind of trash. Suit was trash. Arkham Knight wasn’t as cool as he could have been and also kind of obvious. Best part of the whole game is the Batman/Robin level.

I'm back and forth on Asylum and City. Asylum was number #1 for a long time, but when I finally pushed through and finished City, it was a toss up. I love the feel and setting of Asylum, but the scope of City was more fitting of a Batman game. Both stories were pretty good.
I only played a bit of Origins and Knight, so they are 3a/3b. I keep hearing Origins is not bad so maybe I'll go back to that eventually.

Origins wasn’t bad at all. At worst it was more of the same. Knight is awful.

From the little bit I played, I loved how fleshed out detective mode was.
This might have been my big hangup. Seemed too similar to City, which I was struggling to get through at the time.

This is how I would rank them as well. Funny how Rocksteady pretends Origins doesn't exist yet their own game (Knight) really isn't all that great either.

I think people only say Knight is bad because of the overuse of the Batmobile. It was a new game on a new system so they needed to add something. Flying around is easier and just more fun. The fighting is still solid and the Batman/Joker stuff is great as usual.
