wow, that demo was incredible. This demo gave me a Horizon Zero Dawn feel. IF HZD 2 looks anything like this I will be ecstatic.

Watched and it looks great. Seems like they have made some disruptive changes that is going to make other game engine developers take notice.
Interesting that they really would not comment on Xbox, just kept saying that Sony has made huge advancements in their SSD technology while also saying that the engine will work great on "all next generation consoles". Makes me wonder if Sony might have sponsored this is some way, maybe they sponsored the demo?
Regardless its got me pumped. I will be buying an Xbox Series X day 1, that's what I play all my multiplayer games on. But like I did this last gen. I will probably get a PS5 by year 2 or 3 and catch up on the playstation first party games.

That is exactly what I was thinking. HZD was my favorite game from the current gens, if HZD 2 looks anywhere as good as this it will be awesome.
Update: After a quick google search it looks like HZD was ran on the Decima engine. IDK if what they plan on using for HZD 2 on the next gen.

Well not every game uses Unreal Engine and none of the launch games will. Unreal doesn't launch until 2021...but yes people will lose their shite

you dont just make an engine and then stop using it after a few years
It will definitely be Decima again, which is no slouch. Death Stranding used it and that had the best facial animations we've ever seen. Lots of industry insiders have proclaimed that HZD2 will have indsutry benchmark graphics

Decima engine was created by Guerrilla. It's their own engine.
