Walmart in Sulphur is getting 6 for Black Friday. Same with Walmart in LC if you’re in to camping out.

GameStop by comparison is only getting 2 for stores in LC area.

Apparently not what the guy told me behind the desk. They have 6 locked up in the back in the safe or whatever they do.

They have all the games, etc.

Even got the NBA2k Mamba Edition.

haven't been keeping up with the thread. how fricked are we on a reasonable estimate of when we'll have a chance to snag a ps5 without it getting yeeted out of our cart at checkout?

There are a handful of Twitter users to follow. Turn on alerts for their posts and you'll know exactly when PS5'S are dropping. My son thought he had a Kohls PS5 bundle. He bought it and didn't get a cancellation. He went to bed exhausted after trying to get one for over a week. I stayed up, luckily, and got a tweet at 5am that PS5'S were live on Best Buy. Was able to snag one. Lucky I did because he got a cancellation email for his Kohls bundle around 10am.

Now it won’t allow me to.

There's going to be plenty more drops. The recent Best Buy was by far the best release. Especially for bot protection. You click on Add to Cart and that button immediately showed waiting. Be patient. They were sent out in waves so they didn't drop them all at once. Once you pay for it they send you a code in your email you have to enter. They also sent a code from my Bank of America card to my phone that I had to enter.
Previously I tried the last Walmart drop and had everything secured and checked out but they hit you with the Captcha at the end. I literally went through 15 pictures clicking on Bicycles, buses, sidewalks, boats etc. The pictures were extremely hard to see and figure out what part of the pic to click on. Especially on my phone.
Also tried target drop and it was gone in seconds as well as Amazon. Gone in seconds.
PS5 Direct may be your best bet, outside of Best Buy and standing in line at GameStop on Black Friday. Haven't been lucky enough to get all the way through the queue on Direct though. Plus they drop at random times during the day.
One more place to check is Antonline. A lot of people secured consoles from them. They have more drops coming.
I've taken so many L's this past week I'm still worried I'll get a email cancellation from Best Buy....

Sure but nobody knows how long they’re going to last. They’ve been sent out in waves previously on Best Buy as well but there were too many people online. Cart kept crashing, etc. I think you got lucky to be on at that time because nobody knew it was happening at 5 am so there was way less traffic.

I think it’s important to point out that I’m guessing 95% of the people that own a PS5 now are > 25. I’m 35 and I suppose maybe we just have the disposable income for this kind of crap.

Every store I was in the past week had disappointed kids walking away.

It was gut wrenching.

True. Disposable income and most parents aren’t sophisticated enough to purchase a PS5. We all know they don’t have much in-store stock, and little Timmy’s mom doesn’t know how to work a PS direct queue.
