PS4 won't even turn on

I bought it about a year ago and haven't played it much and tried to turn it on to download fornite and the machine doesn't even turn on. It starts to power on then shuts off. Any ideas before i bring it back?

Unplug it and plug it back in then start it in safe mode

I had the same problem with a refurbished PS3 I purchased. It turned out that the fan wasn't kicking on, so it would shut off mid-startup. Ended up returning it because the only fixes were bigger pains than the thing was worth.

Is it in a closed off area
the older ones need airflow. If your tv stand has something behind closing off the back it sounds like that.
I still have my launch PS4 and it sounds like that.
