I still have research to do on the subject. Six Sigma may not be the way for me to go.
I feel that a project management cert will increase my chances to getting on with the companies/industry that I want to in the long run. My lack of an engineering degree doesn't make it easy. I know some people get on without PE's etc, but they either had a foot in the door some way or got lucky.

Just having the cert will get you noticed in a stack of resumes.
