It puts everyone on a level playing field at least. The lag stuff is something that can be fixed, but the game is built around perks.

Play barebones. Lag's getting worse. The lag compensation punishes me for having a decent connection. I played after the last update, and two-bars always had the jump on me.

I just don't like them. Like Kick and Range and Deep Impact proficiencies...like there's some magic spell I can put on my M4 that makes it kick less than the other guy's.
