It was difficult to upgrade LMG's before the patch. Now it's going to require big time patience. I think the idea behind them jacking with the LMG's was because they wanted us to use them on bipods and suppress, not use them like AR's.

A good assault gun is the AN-94...that thing is lethal, but it's a two round burst (I think).

SG553 is also good...it's SCAR-like, but has 31 rounds.
And it's an ENGINEER's gun. You could also use the UMP or P90.
