I would be surprised if it has Zen 2, the Zen 2 APU's still aren't even out. Most likely will be Zen+. It's nearing final production.
Well, this is coming straight from an interview with Cerny who is the lead system architect.

Please, Sony, let us play PS1, PS2, and PS3 games. Don't sporadically release babby's first PS1/PS2 games to PSN. Let us play them all.

He's got some balls talking about 8K. Remember when this gen was supposed to be 4K and neither Microsoft or Sony could even pull off true 1080P at 60 frames per second. Maybe it'll have 8K netflix streaming.

I don’t see how XBox can compete anymore.
Halo is there only hope, but I think it’s too late.

Xbox will have identical specs to this I would imagine, and will probably launch first.
Got a lot of decent first party titles lined up. They just have to be good.
Microsoft has the money to do this indefinitely.
Ps5 does look strong tho.

Halo Infinite
Next Obsidian rpg (not the outer worlds)
Whatever the initiative is working on
Hellblade sequel
Fable reboot
Age of empires sequel
Gears 5
New perfect dark
These are what I expect from 2020
Will be super interested in ifinite on PC in particular

obsidian rpg is 4-5 years away at LEAST
nobody has a clue what Initiative is making or what kind of quality they'll put out
there is no confirmation that Ninja Theory is doing a Hellblade sequel. I dont think they are, the game ended just fine. No clue where they would take it. every other game NT has made is trash
Fable blows
Gears blows now
new Perfect Dark from the Rare team that has 0 members from the original team? and the same team that made Sea of Trash? no thanks. Perfect Dark Zero is one of the worst games I've ever played, couldn't even finish it.
I'll give you Infinite since people love Halo, but the rest of those titles are either A) so far away that they won't be a system seller or B) rehashes/sequels of dead franchises with very few original developers
I'm not trying to be like Bonck here (I own both consoles and always will), but xbox's exclusive lineup is trash for the most part. Ori 2 is like the only thing I'm looking forward to in the next year or two

And more
But keep slaving for the Japs, don't let me stop you.

Same, tho PC will always be superior to console

link to sequel announcement? look at NT's catalog, trash with the exception of Hellblade, which was a pretty good game
Fable has always been trash, Gears has sucked since Epic quit developing them. Rehashed rubbish
I have no clue why you would have hope in a new PD game either. There is NO ONE from Rare's original team. The N64 game was their magnum opus and last hoorah

what?
off the top of my head, some of my top games this console generation
Last of Us
Bloodborne
God of War
Witcher 3
Metro games
Doom
Deus Ex
Ori and the Blind Forest
Nier Automata
Titanfall 2
Overwatch
Life Is Strange
Horizon
That comes out to....a whopping 2 japanese developers

Or make it so that you can play games off the disc without having to install the entire thing. I'm a bit surprised Sony hasn't released their own external ssd or some sort of official removable storage device.
Do you realize how slow discs are to load compared to even a standard HDD?

To demonstrate, Cerny fires up a PS4 Pro playing Spider-Man, a 2018 PS4 exclusive that he worked on alongside Insomniac Games. On the TV, Spidey stands in a small plaza. Cerny presses a button on the controller, initiating a fast-travel interstitial screen. When Spidey reappears in a totally different spot in Manhattan, 15 seconds have elapsed. Then Cerny does the same thing on a next-gen devkit connected to a different TV. (The devkit, an early “low-speed” version, is concealed in a big silver tower, with no visible componentry.) What took 15 seconds now takes less than one: 0.8 seconds, to be exact.
That’s just one consequence of an SSD. There’s also the speed with which a world can be rendered, and thus the speed with which a character can move through that world. Cerny runs a similar two-console demonstration, this time with the camera moving up one of Midtown’s avenues. On the original PS4, the camera moves at about the speed Spidey hits while web-slinging. “No matter how powered up you get as Spider-Man, you can never go any faster than this,” Cerny says, “because that's simply how fast we can get the data off the hard drive.” On the next-gen console, the camera speeds uptown like it’s mounted to a fighter jet. Periodically, Cerny pauses the action to prove that the surrounding environment remains perfectly crisp.
At the moment, Sony won’t cop to exact details about the SSD—who makes it, whether it utilizes the new PCIe 4.0 standard—but Cerny claims that it has a raw bandwidth higher than any SSD available for PCs. That’s not all. “The raw read speed is important,“ Cerny says, “but so are the details of the I/O [input-output] mechanisms and the software stack that we put on top of them.

If Borderlands was an xbox exclusive if would possibly help them.
I have the 360 and xbox1, depending on what's offered with next gens I'll probably go with ps5.

Why would borderlands be an Xbox exclusive ever?
Posted on 4/18/19 at 12:00 pm to Mystery
Cause it's better than halo or any xbox bullshite, and if someone had borderlands 3 as an exclusive it would be a big deal.

I understand why PS3 isn't done, but I do hope they let us play all of the PS Classics we've already purchased.
Maybe they'll include PS Now as part of PS+ for PS3 backwards compatibility.

Eh, while potentially inconvenient, I hope there is always at least some option for the physical version of a game. I'm glad there are places like Limited Run Games that try to preserve games in physical form.
Same. With how often games get removed from digital stores, I like to be able to guarantee ownership of my games.

They aren’t trying to catch Sony on console sales
Microsoft is a monstrous company that could buy Sony 20x’s over. Consoles aren’t where they generate their revenue. The only reason they make consoles at all is to pull more people into the Microsoft brand and to the services that they profit from. Operating systems, servers, future cloud systems and streaming services.
Microsoft, google, apple, amazon these companies are fighting over control of your day to day life not just your gaming life. Any consoles they release are merely an attempt to pull you into their brand web of services
