not looking good for Sony if "several more years = 3 years".

Last week, Xbox revealed that it had "provided a signed agreement to Sony to guarantee Call of Duty on PlayStation, with feature and content parity, for at least several more years" beyond Sony's existing contract with Activision. Xbox said this offer "goes well beyond typical gaming industry agreements."

"I hadn’t intended to comment on what I understood to be a private business discussion, but I feel the need to set the record straight because Phil Spencer brought this into the public forum," Ryan stated.
"Microsoft has only offered for Call of Duty to remain on PlayStation for three years after the current agreement between Activision and Sony ends. After almost 20 years of Call of Duty on PlayStation, their proposal was inadequate on many levels and failed to take account of the impact on our gamers. We want to guarantee PlayStation gamers continue to have the highest quality Call of Duty experience, and Microsoft’s proposal undermines this principle."

Gotta think it eventually gets ironed out. If it's not on Playstation that's a lot of money they'd lose. People aren't going to go buy another console for just call of duty either

People will absolutely, most definitely, buy another console for call of duty. It's on of the most popular games every year for the past decade.

Bargaining chip is on the table now. Look for Gamepass to be coming to PS5 soon.
Microsoft is about to make money from PS fan boys.

MW2 is gonna be the last COD for awhile right? They aren’t doing yearly games anymore

Sony is not going to be able to compete with Microsoft in the long run.
The only way they will compete is by offering a legit alternative to game pass. What they have now isn't going to cut it. And they don't have the money or infrastructure to do it.

If the roles were reversed, Sony wouldn't even give them 3 yrs.

This is all so true.
Sony went and poked the bear too hard during the last gen, which made Microsoft get this act together.
Watching the slow Sony train wreck will be entertaining, but gaming as a whole is still dying thanks to other factors. We need to get back to what made the very late 90s and 00s so amazing.

y'all can talk shite about sony getting cod exclusivity rights all you want, but you can't ignore microsoft was the first to do it in the 360 days. it was bitch having to wait a month every qtr for the map packs to get released after they've been released for the 360 the month before.
i understand that it was a different business model back then compared to the battle passes and cross-play of today. but microsoft "pioneered" that exclusivity shite.

LOL a month.
It took 3 years to get the original Destiny's Playstation content on xbox, and that was only after Destiny 2 came out!

The Don Mattrick & Jim Ryan comparisons just keep coming.
