My blocks are gonna look so so better though.

The thing is, the blocks aren't going to do squat for overclocking. Heat isn't really a problem. I've hit the power targets already.

Hoping a modded bios comes out soon though. There's also a resistor shunt mod that's easy to do with a conductive pen or solder. I might try that. Supposedly fools the power target limitation.

Welp, went ahead and bit the bullet and bought a reference 780 off amazon for $270. I don't want to wait any longer

Now I just need to find a second one and some dominator plats, vengeance pros or Kingston HyperX Fury ram

I wish I had your money when I was in college. I debated about buying a burrito like you do about gpu's.

They look best and match my build. I'm going for a white, black and gray theme. My z87 ud3h will be in tomorrow and I plan on painting the blue parts white with some white plastidip

Edit: I've actually changed my mind in the past 10 minutes I've found some better ram that I like better. The avexir core series with white LEDs. It'll match the reference coolers on the 780s wonderfully

I almost got the MPower line of those Avexirs with the yellow LEDs, to match the MPower board black and yellow theme. But then I decided to paint.

Linus did a review of it. I don't remember what he said about it, though

I've read a couple of written reviews that were positive. It's difficult to listen to Linus talk though.

Does anyone actually use the AMD Gaming Evolved App that comes with the express install?

I had it then uninstalled it and just got the new update prompt should I do custom and not install it or is it actually something decent to have?

And the display driver failed to install the frick is this shite AMD?

Linus is my go to toilet time youtube channel. His reviews are usually quick and somewhat informative

AMD has been a little wacky with Windows 8.1 and drivers. I had to manually install mine a couple of times. I don't know how robust NVIDIA drivers are at this point, but they at least installed perfectly without issue.

I didn't use the gaming evolved app whatsoever. I doubt I'll use Nvidia experience either unless I decide to frick around with shadowplay.

First bench with a 780. Put a small +100 on the core, 4770k still stock

Nvidia experience is not bad actually. I only use it to manage my drivers really but I think it's helpful for people that aren't as savy.
