So i cloned my hard drive to the ssd. I disconnected my harddrive and booted up... now what? Do i need to wipe the hard drive in order for the cpu to not recognize it as the boot drive? Or did I just mess everything upp?

dual monitors - depends on what you want to accomplish with them.
for productivity? sure. for gaming? i wouldnt recommend it.
if you are confident you have all the data now on the ssd, wipe your hdd and use it as a storage drive. make sure you have changed the SSDs drive letter to your desired boot drive letter (commonly C), and the now storage hdd letter to something else (i use D for storage and E for optical)

Yeah, i just want it for productivity. For example, it would be nice to play on my new monitor and have the other available to browse while gaming. Or if i am playing i could have espn up looking at scores or something.

yes to all 3 questions. it will work fine for productivity, and both the monitor and card you linked are fine.
shortly a monitor snob will be by to chastise you for not getting a 1440p monitor or one with a 120hz refresh rate though. given your budget, i think you did just fine.

Nah, a 760 wouldn't do all that well at 1440p, and quality settings would suffer to achieve 120fps on a 120hz monitor, so yep, he did fine. Although it really is a shame that the mining frenzy is preventing him from getting a superior AMD card for less.

Did I do OK? I just got a Galaxy Note 8.0 and a Galaxy S4 Active for $199 with a new contract.

The note 8.0 is a great tablet. Im not a fan of the active. Its an s3 in a water resistant s4 case

Should I go back and get the regular ole S4? I really sort of need a rugged phone which is why I went with the active.

If you need something rugged then stick with the active.

Can I get some suggestions on a good mechanical keyboard and a second monitor? I'm going to be getting that plus an SSD and a nice gaming headset.

But I have seen lots of reviews, benches, and everyday users show that its far more similar to the s3 than the s4. I was looking into getting the active over my s3, but there wasn't enough of a difference to change

Literally the only difference I am seeing from the S4 to the active is the camera. 13MP vs 8MP.

I'm not entirely sure, that's why I was coming to ask here. What are the differences and benefits for each? I'm looking to not go too far over $100 for the keyboard because I might go with the 500GB SSD, and the budget for both of those and the monitor is around $500.

I was thinking of that, but I've heard great things about this headset and I'm strongly leaning towards getting it: LINK. I don't think I'll need a high-quality microphone setup since I don't do any recording and hardly ever attempt to stream.

I wasnt talking about getting a nice mic, I use a $40 (blue snowball) one
I would get a pair of these amazing cans with this mic (I may have an extra to mail you). It will shite on any "gaming headset"
And you can always buy a DAC or amp and make it 10x better

Yeah, I would lean more towards getting a 250GB SSD and free up more cash for the other peripherals. The only benefit of the 500GB would be having more games on the SSD, but remember that only a few games show noticeable benefits from the faster load times.
