What a big middle finger to those who bought 700 series, aka overclocked Kepler.

Yeah no doubt... but not the 780, that is GK110-300 not GK104.

If you didn't buy a 780 then you sort of got it handed to you. I purchased my Titans in February, they will go through a 1yr cycle. IDT I made out tooo bad, if you dont look at price.

was originally looking at the 770 or 780

The 780 wouldn't have been a bad decision. Those GK110 SKUs are top of the line and nothing else like it on the market. They will hold up pretty good against Maxwell. Where it was a ripoff were the 770s... the 760s aren't bad because you have a larger BUS than 600 series so they perform even better in SLi than 670s or 660Tis.

yeah my wife is a sucker for a little critter... how do you think we ended up with 5 cats?

At one point, we had 3 dogs, 2 cats, and a chinchilla. The dogs had their own bedroom. I tiled the floor and installed a dog door in the window the leads out to our fenced in back yard.

Since then, we're down to 1 dog, 2 cats, and a chinchilla. We had to put down one of dogs a few months ago (old dog). The other one, we had to give away. He's a young Border Collie we "adopted" a few years ago. We saw him running loose in our neighborhood, stupidly trying to chase cars on the main road. We wanted to pick him up before he got run over. Sure enough, by the time I was able to get back to him with my car, he'd already been hit by some POS in a white F-150 who didn't stop. Luckily there were no broken bones, just needed to be in a confined space for a week or two to heal.

We ultimately decided to give him up earlier this year because he's just too neurotic. We weren't able to give him the exercise/tasks that border collies need, and he was just compulsively digging, getting out to chase lawn mowers or anything else that moved. The last straw was when he bit me. I was trying to drag him inside so the Cox workers could bury line in my back yard, and he was so focused on the shovels that I startled him and he reacted. At that point, he was too much of a liability. Ended up giving him to a guy with 10 acres of land. Gave him full disclosure about the biting incident and his interest in lawn mowers. He seemed to be very familiar with the breed.

Now we're down to two cats, 1 chinchilla, and one dog, a yorkie/maltese mix. Biggest pain in the arse. Since having a kid, I am over pets.

Until you get your shite together GTFO.

If you get bf3 then get the premium as well.
Better make sure your mic works.
Need to be able to at least play on ultra smoothly.
No bitching about KB/M unless you are making fun of yourself. Choose wisely and don't go wireless.
Must tell others how much better you are and feel than them.
Don't be sucking sics dick and avoiding us.

It all hit me when I first spawned in on dayz. The one man I had to help guide me along the glorious path was a man I once argued with for a long time. But he accepted me with open arms. He is my online daddy.

yeah.. this

I'm trying to figure out what my next upgrade is going to require.. how long do you guys think the 1150 socket will stay the norm?

Also, I'm currently running 12GB (3 x 4GB) of RAM.. should I just stop being cheap and upgrade to 16, or should I sell the extra 4GB and drop down to 8GB?

About two years. Next year we'll see Broadwell on socket 1150, followed by new microarchitecture in 2015.

Or you can leave it as is. Granted, one of your modules is not running dual channel, but you won't notice a performance difference in real-world use if you keep it that way. It's just not ideal. The most efficient RAM setup for dual channel is simply 2 modules, no more, no less.

It's tougher to sell a single 4gb module, and you might not get much for it.
