If you go Fractal, either go with the Torrent (if you decide to air cool), or the Fractal North for a sleek modern aesethic

AMD's Next-Gen Ryzen CPUs Enter Mass Production: Zen 5 "Granite Ridge" Coming To AM5 Desktop PCs Later This Year
The next-gen AMD Ryzen CPU family will be a big one as it moves to a brand new Zen architecture. Codenamed "Granite Ridge", the next-gen CPUs will be powered by the Zen 5 core architecture and feature a range of new technologies including the brand-new architecture itself. These CPUs will be compatible with the AM5 desktop platform including the existing 600-series motherboards.

Thanks. I was wondering about this.

4070 Super review embargo lifted today. Looks like it's under performing slightly from those previous rumors, but not dramatically. Current price per frame at 1440p in pure raster. Obviously performance would compare more favorably if you play with RT:
In short, it's by no means a bad card, but it's nothing to be excited over. These seem to be purely to readjust pricing compared to similar AMD cards without having to "lower MSRP" on the original cards.

Nearly 10% higher cost per frame in nearly every comparable option...seems like Nvidia has a cost problem.

Almost certainly intentional. I doubt Nvidia hasn’t noticed the general discussion sentiment that people are willing to pay a 10-20% premium to have access to the areas Nvidia is clearly ahead in, namely RT and upscaling. Like I said, this is clearly Nvidia pricing this card exactly where it thinks it has to, and not a dollar cheaper.

I think they're just tone-deaf and overvalue themselves lol

Tone deaf, yes. Frustrating in their pricing practices, yes. Overvaluing themselves? That’s a market question, and until AMD starts making significant inroads in market share, it’s hard to argue that Nvidia is overvaluing itself.

I’m still really curious where the 4080 super is going to come in once the embargo’s are lifted

No problem, with the big gains on this new architecture I am for sure grabbing an 8700X day 1.

Looks like AMD was quick to respond to the 4070S: 7900XT MSRP and Retail Prices Cut
MSRP down $50 to $749 and retail prices are between $710 and $720 this morning. That brings the current retail cost per frame down from $6.50 to $5.91. Still higher than the 4070S $5.71, but that's to be expected as it's in a different performance tier, averaging 120fps at 1440p in HUB's testing compared to the 105 for the 4070S. I would expect price adjustments from AMD to continue up the stack as the Nvidia refreshes are released this month.

Where my AMD stock bros at?

Analysts predict that AMD could benefit from the same AI trend that tripled Nvidia's stock value in 2023. Barclays confidently set the target price for AMD stock at $200, while KeyBanc Capital Markets established a new target of $195.

No official announcements yet, but the tea leaves say end of Q2, maybe bleeding into Q3. So June/July-ish.

Decided to try out a new keyboard. Bought the Glorious GMMK 2 and it’s pretty damn nice for the price. Hot swappable switches and the build quality is solid.
It has linear black switches, which feel really nice but definitely a bit strange from a tactile feedback standpoint after being on Mx Blues for over a decade.

Man, keyboards are fricky. On the one hand, they fascinate me. On the other, they annoy the piss out of me.
Currently using this guy with hand added sound dampening/cushioning rings: LINK
I like it a lot, but keyboards still piss me off. Maybe one day I’ll learn to stop bottoming out my damned keystrokes

I actually built a custom keyboard for Christmas.
Keychron Q1 pro with morandi linear switches… like typing on silk with nice deep pops.

They definitely can be just a completely different level of OCD obsessiveness. My muscle memory on the MX blues has me short stroking(that’s what she said) keys. I’m just used to that feedback they have.
With that being said, these linear switches are like silk. Way lighter of a touch and so smooth.
I was honestly pretty shocked at how different they felt compared to any other keyboard I’ve used before.
