This shows a different picture.
AMD is crushing it in the other parts tho.
If the rebate comes fast, then, meh. fine. I don't think you're gonna see that until the 7700xt and 7800xt come out. They'll take the rebate and jack the prices of their cards 20-30 dollars and pocket the rest.
Like I said; I wanted heavy raytracing. It sucks paying 600 for a xx60 level card, but with the options I had.

That doesnt really say anything, it's in stock everywhere which tells the whole story. Any new card has sold out in pretty much everywhere the past few years, meanwhile no one waited in line for the 4070 and Nvidia is trying to cut the price of it literally a week after it's launch. Tells you all you need to know about the sales of it.
My local microcenter is showing 14 SKUs of 4070 and all of them are in stock, every single one with 4+ quantity and most are 10+ quantity with some 25+. You just didnt see this within a week of launch of anything recently.

They're the only ones who report it. Is it selling out? No
Is it gonna be a complete plop? Maybe. They'll give rebates if they need to. This card isn't for everybody. In fact, it's not for most people.
If you want the best tech, you have to pay the tax. For those other people, there's the 6k AMD series. Behind on tech but good for raster/price.

I don’t know if that’s the indicator it was last gen. Both the 4080 and the 7900XT were never completely sold out. The former at BestBuy and the latter on AMD’s website.

It's a junk card. No one is buying it. You'd have to be an idiot honestly.

Is it overpriced for it's performance/tier? Sure.
Is it a junk card? Absolutely not.
Seeing you melt over this is kind of sad tbh

But his AMD stock price

This might be the saddest shite I've ever seen in the PC thread.

Since we're here. What card was I supposed to buy when I wanted 6800xt/3080 level raster performance with higher ray tracing and tech?
1: the 6800xt: Nope sorry its heavy raytracing is arse. Not to mention only paying 60 bucks or so less. I'll pay the Nvidia tax. Even tho that tax sucks. Specially for a xx60 card. If only AMD could catch up to technology. Maybe I wouldn't have to do that.
2: a used 3080: Nope only a partial(if that) warranty. Not to mention no dlss 3 and 2 gb less of VRAM.
3: Not upgrade at all: Nope been 6 years since my last gpu upgrade.
Edit: double quoted

7900XT the best gpu for the money on the market and as such the top selling gpu since price reduction.
3080 isn't an option due to VRAM. Something everyone told Nvidiot's at the time.

Those types of posts don't do anything to me. It's a message board. Virtue signal to someone else about your bad purchase and being a bad consumer.

Of course they don't. You don't have a solution.

Just guilt trips.

7900XT
Sucks in heavy raytracing and 200 dollars more. Good in raster.
