The early versions of software used a ton of data, and transmitted several personal forms of data without really letting the user know.
Also slowed down boot times, and had CPU usage really high even during idle.
They've supposedly fixed that (and also don't transmit data unless you consent... supposedly...), but I wouldn't want that software anywhere near my PC.
EDIT: If hes looking for hardware monitoring software, he should just use HWInfo.

Did this and it came back with nothing.
I have one that popped up today (same place under gpu) that said nvcontainer and it was showing 400-1000%. I read up on that and it said one of the solutions was to uninstall Geforce Experience. I did that and played one game lag free, and then all of a sudden it was right back.
I'm reading up on how to check for/fix memory leaks now. I'm at about the end of my rope with this crap.

Gamestop stock is going nuts, already was and then Elon tweeted them out and another boom.
Too bad most of us missed this it seems, myself included. No one had Gamestop doing this.

ETA: guy in our discord put up 4k on 55c for gamestop last friday. bragged about making 12k. Now currently worth 300k

So, any advice on how to get a 3060TI or 3070? Looking at upgrading and kinda narrowed down to those two. Is this worse than the PS5/XSX chase?

They’re impossible to get right now unless you’re willing to pay a huge premium. I want to do a mini itx build and was thinking about putting a 2060 in it and even those aren’t around at retail price. GPU market is insane right now.

I just got a 3070 last night on my first time trying (for a 3070... 3080s are another story). So I’d say probably better than PS5/XBX.
I usually keep Falcodrin’s twitch stream running in the background while I’m at home. He starts hollaring when drops happen and posts links in chat. He also has a link to his discord where you can set up notifications to get alerts on your pc or phone when drops happen. The alerts contain a link to the buy page, which is also nice.
StockDrops has a similar set up with discord notifications.
In addition to that, you need to go to all the websites ahead of time and set up accounts, save logins & passwords, and save payment & shipping info if possible. That will make it more likely for you to squeeze through in the short windows that stock is available. Sites are:
Amazon
Newegg
Best Buy
BandH
Adorama
Asus
Zotac
The next are you can take is setting up your own bot with streetmerchant, but that is a lot more involved. This is what falcodrin & others are using to scan for stock. Having your own bot running saves a few precious seconds and it will open up the buy page automatically in your default browser. I also have mine set up to text me with links when drops happen.

If you don't absolutely need the card now, don't buy it.
Period. I'd want a 3060ti (or a 6700 XT for my build, because of thermals/efficiency), but the 2070 Super I have does everything I need to for my usage.
I'm not giving AMD or Nvidia an insane amount of money for a GPU just because they have supply issues.

I'm doing a mini-ITX build so I have to get a 3060ti. Waiting for them to ship and have a reasonable price. I have a 780 ti Classified in my closet that I might use to get the build up and running until it becomes available. I'm on auto notify on B&H and EVGA sites so hopefully not too long.
After that I'll eventually get a 3080 as that seems to be absolute best price/performance card at list price.
