Look up some pics of other people using the monitor and see if they have the same border. I'm thinking it's just the monitors edge

I have an i5-6500 with a z170 ATX board, but you're probably looking for an itx 1151 board for your build.

I'm actually looking for an itx 1151 board myself just to build another SFF streaming PC that I can connect to my TV.

Whoa....

Nvidia have officially decided to ban us from receiving GeForce Founders Edition GPU review samples

Their reasoning is that we are focusing on rasterization instead of ray tracing.

They have said they will revisit this "should your editorial direction change".

More to come

This is a quote from the email they sent today "It is very clear from your community commentary that you do not see things the same way that we, gamers, and the rest of the industry do."

Are we out of touch with gamers or are they?

We already buy a lot of the hardware we test, that's not an issue we have a massive support base. This would be a serious problem if they pulled this on a smaller channel, which they will if they get out of line.

I'm actually looking for an ATX board, but it needs to be 3xx series 1151

How dumb of Nvidia. Ray tracing is still another generation away, they're the ones that are clueless about the community.

Half the original games that Nvidia claimed back in 2018 that would get proper RT support still don't have it

This is just dumb. Nvidia's 3XXX series is legitimately a good product, with the one biggest issue right now being availability and scalpers.

This is absolutely terrible marketing/PR decisions on Nvidia's part right now.

Most people could give two shits about Ray Tracing.

Really bad timing for bad PR for sure.

Meanwhile 4k with RT-Ultra on a $1500 GPU people cant buy for Cyberpunk 2077 gets you about 25 FPS, but you can enable 1080p DLSS to get ALMOST 60 FPS out of it

Linus is just about the only guy I watch nowadays oddly enough. Everyone else has gone off the deep end (jayz), tries to hard with clickbaity shite (nitwit), or just does boring ole shite I don't care to watch (everyone else).

Linus has basically come full circle and is now one of the few generating original, good content

Linus, GamersNexus (some of his rants are cringe, but his content is good), and HW Unboxed are the only tech channels I watch.

It doesn’t really matter right now though, no one can keep 3000 series cards in stock for anyone really to care, that’s by far the bigger story.

Availability of components is just a nightmare. frick giving to reviewers, make em buy too. I don’t give a shite about people whining about not getting free cards.

That really isn't the issue here. The issue is Nvidia attempting to control the reviews and coverage of their cards by refusing to provide review samples to those reviewers whom they think aren't being "positive" enough with their reviews.

That Linus segment on it was damn good. He didn't hold back and looked legitimately pissed.

He's gotten to the state where he just doesn't give a frick anymore and can do whatever he wants
