I think you want this one over the 2070 super:
But if you can wait another month or two, you will get to see how AMD's graphics cards stack up performance-wise at your price point.

Yeah I can wait. I can start getting the other more standard components in the mean time. Y'all are the best.

Both?

Yeah I'd aim for all of it, but worst case, I don't want to play a PowerPoint slideshow so...frames.

To that point, I found a benchmarker that does comparisons at high and low graphics settings.

1080p vs 1440p vs 4k at high and low settings, and he switches up the CPUs also

can you guys talk me out of the 20 Series B-Stock that EVGA currently has on sale. i'm trying really hard not to do it because lets be real, ain't no one here getting a 3070 on launch day. and by the time they are available, the 40 series will be announced/released.

Paying more for significantly less performance seems dumb.
AMD insists they'll have plenty of stock.

is there a release date for AMD's GPUs? the only thing i know of is the announcement date of the 28th.
Posted on 10/14/20 at 7:47 am to finchmeister08
I imagine we'll get it on the 28th. Usually products are 2 weeks after the reveal same as Ryzen and they've said they'll hit before the next Gen consoles.

These cards will be worth significantly less than that very soon, it would be a huge mistake to spend like $450 on a 2070 Super, $640 on a 2080 Super and even "just" $740 on a 2080 Ti.
Nvidia will have more stock in November, which should have been their launch dates anyways, they just wanted to beat AMD to the punch to build the hype and forced scarcity...but reports are Nvidia is telling AIBs there will be hundreds of thousands of 3080's available next month and a tens of thousands more 3090's with "a boatload" of 3070's as well...
Moore's Law is Dead explaining the stock for November
He mentions at launch Nvidia had less than 30,000 3080's and less than 3,000 3090's, which is kind of nuts to think about.
That all being said, this is obviously to combat the release of Big Navi in November and AMD unlikely to have supply problems...Nvidia cant let AMD destroy their market share in mid-range to higher-end simply because Nvidia cant get their cards out there, so it makes sense.

So I haven't messed with any audio shite in a while, but I think I want to go back to my AKG K701's as my primary headset and my AT2020 mic.
The Schiit Hel should be all I need to power these right? Any other DACs or mixers out there for similar price I should be looking for?
