Welp... Here we go. AMD gonna probably force Intel into an even smaller corner, but their GPU response to Ampere will be what I'm most interested in.

Hopefully Zen 3 leaks start popping up ahead of time. Can't wait to see those IPC improvements. Going to smash Intel.

Pretty much.

But at least Zen 3 is close, everyone assumed November for it. A good sign.

It’s starting to look like I’ll be buying a 3080 or 3090 at launch, and then waiting on the rest of the build... at least until we can see what zen3 looks like to decide on a cpu

I'm still waiting on my LG GN950, preorder at over a month now, and then I'll be grabbing the 6900XT when it drops and a PS5. CPU side I'll stay on my 8700K until Zen 4.

Stock related

Stock wise really only Zen 3 matters desktop wise, AMD will report record GPU sales as each console sale counts as a GPU sale, so desktop is pretty irrelevant for stock performance. Zen 3 EPYC looks insane, and the CDNA data center GPU's also look poised to gain a ton of marketshare, estimated to go from 15% to 30% in data center revenue yoy. This is where we will see AMD hit $100/s.

Projections for the stock raised today everywhere.

Mainly because of the server chips obliterating Intel.

Got the Orbi 6 mesh system in and setup today. Full coverage WiFi 6 all over with blazing speeds. So far so good, very pleased.

Okay why didn't I do this sooner what the frick! Wifi 6 4/5 bars even out in my yard behind my pool. I've spent years with dropping in and out of wifi and range extenders with trash speed etc. Sheeeeeesh.

Okay ive been sort of keeping my eye on this thread but not enough to know what exactly is new. My Gsync monitor just died on me. Power LED is on and the computer detects it but the panel is blank. Im assuming its cheaper and more worthwhile to just buy a whole new monitor. Current monitor is 1440p with 144hz. Might look into ultrawide but im not sure whats really available. I dont really want to spend more than 700$

I'm not an ultrawide guy so I have no idea on that front.

Regular monitors you can stay at 1440p and bump up to 240Hz with Samsung's latest. I think it's $649. LINK

Gaterons are my favorite. I have an Anne pro 2 with Gateron Browns and a ducky with mx Browns and like the Gaterons more.

Looks like the NDAs on the 3080 expire on Monday so maybe we’ll see some good benchmarks before launch day.

How long does it usually take 3rd parties to get their cards out?

I'm not an ultra wide guy too, but I've been thinking of getting one for MSFS.

Not making a monitor purchase now until I get my hands on a 3090.

Idk, I'm not interested in any AIB cards because WC.

But usually, they lag behind a few weeks after the Founders Editions. For some reason I believe they are all launching together this gen on September 17th.

It's better to go founders for water cooling?

No just usually cheaper. Don't need any upgraded cooling solution, which is more pricey, plus blocks are usually a little cheaper.
