That $1200 monitor that only does 100 MHZ?

Basically a price placeholder. I have an Asus 24" 1440 right now. Gonna wait for the Acer Predator X34P and see how it looks. Supposedly it will OC to 120MHZ.

Regardless, I want something along those lines. Large, 1440, and high refresh. I was looking at the Samsung CHG90 but it is only 1080. The big perk on it, however, is that you can basically split it down the center and have two monitors with no bezel.

I honestly wasn't either until I went from a 19" to a 27" and loved it. I messed around with the 34"ers at Fry's a while back and I love them.

32" @ 2160 is perfect imo. It is what I game on.

But..

34" @ 1440 seems terrible. Esp for an ultra wide.

We found out last week that my SO of 8yrs has a 14x11cm tumor on her left ovary. Tomorrow she goes in to remove the mass and left ovary. Hoping the tumor isn't malignant.

Guess it will be a good time to test out the Switch's portable pull? Trying to stay positive since we both are relatively healthy and never experienced surgery.

Yea I couldn't imagine playing games on that. I think Stout really likes his, but hates it for gaming?

Yeah I would love it for work. Esp when I'm coding.

But as for gaming it seems terrible at the form factor/resolution.

Any recommendations? Like I said, that monitor is basically a placeholder for now. I know I'm getting one, just not sure which.

Hope everything goes well for you and the gf!

32" CrossOver 3840x2160 @ 60hz but easily overclockable to 90hz.

Find Korean monitors on eBay. I'll post my seller here when sometime today. Think it is Dreamseller. I bought Koreans from this guy since 2012.

If you're going to spend that much money on a build don't skimp out on the monitor, they're just as important. Make sure you get Gsync, 100Hz+, height/swivel adjustment.

Snagged my 8700k and Maximus X Hero just a minute ago. Microcenter was out if the memory and didn't have the 1080ti I wanted. Might swing by Fry's when the wife is done shopping.

I feel the exact same way. I waste more time trying to find a deal. Life is busy enough and do not even have kids yet.

Not worth it to save $20 bucks.
