We don't know the thermals yet for the Intels above 10 cores.

I'd guess they would run very hot.

?

It's a really bad buy idk why you recommended it.

4 cores 4 threads and no hyperthreading for more money, you kind of screwed him.

Even if he is an Intel fanboy you gotta wait until you can get the 7700K at this stage of gaming.

I score 16,000 with a 7700K, double his score. Gaming has been maxing 4 threads for awhile now and add in no hyperthreading going forward it's rough to spend that much on it.

Man HBM2 really kept these cards priced too high. Hopeful it will show it's benefits in gaming next cycle, just non right now.

The Vega 56 appears to be the most intriguing card of hte lineup, especially given its performance compared to the GTX 1070.

Of course, this is all assuming you can get one depending on how fast miners frick up the pricing

Well the liquid cooled Vega 64 ran out of stock before I even had a chance.

Last hope is BH Photo when they post theirs.

Yea I'm 100% going with a 1080 ti now. Baffling that AMDs highest end card is considerably slower than it, and around the same price too.

AMD pretty much said they weren't competing with the 1080ti.

The Vega 56 competes against the 1070, and the Vega 64 against the 1080.

The power difference is a little baffling though.

Isn't the MSRP for the Vega Liquid $699? That is directly competing with the 1080 ti

$599, the pack bundle with 2 games is $699. They'll be sold separately soon enough.

Air 64 is $499. Air 1080tis are 699 and up so quite a big difference.
