Really cool they are pushing this on Smart TVs.
I did hardwire, but the TV is currently on wireless. It's still working surprisingly well. Maybe because it's close to the router and on 802.11ac. Wouldn't necessarily trust it on something requiring close to zero latency like a FPS.

Wish I wouldn't have sold my last 980 Ti. Really hurting for a decent card for this spare build. I'm pulling the trigger on my apartment Ryzen 3 iTX build.

Yes. That pricing is phenomenal.
Now the debate in my head whether to get the air cooled 64 or the liquid cooled one.
Liquid one has boost clock of 1677MHz versus air at 1546MHz. Probably OC about the same though with good air cooling.

Next you have the air cooled 64 which retails at $399 or $499 by some reports which slightly faster than a 1070. The 1070 did retail at launch for $379 over 1yr ago. The price is around $400 now but that is due to the current mining craze and it being the cheapest mid-range card in stock.
Now we come to the air cooled 56 which retails at $399. Not sure if any leaks happen to make their way to the web but theoretically.
I'm glad we have good additional cards coming to the upper mid-range market. Would love if AMD could bring these cards to market a little cheaper. The problem is the cost of HBM2, this is probably the lowest retail price.
At the end of the day this will just be a stepping stone for Navi.

From what I have read final launch drivers and everything, it beats the 1080 by about 10% and as much as 20%. Probably depends on the games specifically, most DX12 titles are probably in that upper range. Not sure what you are talking about there every leak it's beaten the 1080 for awhile now.
Still trying to decide which one to get, air cooled may be the choice as much as I like the liquid cooling option I can't justify that much money for the amount I use it. Especially with a $600 new monitor on the way as well I did not plan an upgrading this much.
