You played H1 after the gigantic patch the other day btw?

Downloading it now actually... 8.2GB

My buddy was telling me about some of the updates. Some are cool, but I really don't like how it shows you where you're being hit from in a vehicle. I like how so much of these games is awareness, and shooting at cars (which cars are already way too used/OP) becomes even worse.

I'm just glad they nerfed the hell out of the magnum from range, no more blowing up cars in a split second from 300 yards away.

And finally can watch your teammate(s) finish the match after you die, been waiting for that for ages.

Seems like Playerunknown's Battlegrounds is a better H1.

My favorite thing about NVMe is the response time. SSDs respond quick, and didn't think we would see access times drop much more.

Wrong. Files located on NVMe drivers are just instate.

Just got home last night, so downloaded the new nVidia drivers released on the 6th. It sort of pissed me off to see TITAN Xp and TITAN X (Pascal). I knew it was coming, but as I get older and more conservative these practices bother me.

EDT: My guess was that we would get the a real GP100 around VEGAs launch. I still think we get one right after. Especially since getting the full GP102.

I always hold a huge issue with benchmarks like these.

It is OC vs Stock, period.

The TITAN X(P) hits 2100 with ease. Same as 1080Tis, because you know why? They are the same chip but with limited bus.

What's the best nvme SSD to get nowadays? 960 Pro? Next upgrade will probably be new cpu/mobo/ddr4, nvme, and a pair of 1080 Tis or something equivalent/faster.

960 Pro but Intel has this weird Optane thing. They don't want u to use it as a main drive but as system cache in front of loads of mechanical drives. It's weird.

When Optane comes to mainstream (storage) memory things are going to get really fast.

Is that with the 3770K at 4.5? Cuz nearly 2K higher than Stout's at stock.

People bash Intel myself included but Sky/Kaby is a large upgrade for those 3-4+ old generation chips, at least in benches.

Yea those new chips wreck benches, but from all the ingame benches I've seen, there's a very small difference between the 3770k and 7700k (usually ~5FPS)

And my 3770k is at 4.4

Yeah, only about 5 FPS in gaming and another 10 or so from DDR4 3000+ over DDR3.

Well I guess it depends on the game DF has some games with 20-40 FPS differences with RAM factored in, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Crysis 3, Witcher 3 and AC Unity are pretty drastic.

Yea, most of it I won't ever be able to notice. I don't drop below 60fps on any of the games I play. The most depending game I play is probably h1z1
