Are you talking about Cyanogenmod? As far as I know, OnePlus hasn't used that for a while. It uses OxygenOS, developed in-house. Looks like a Nougat update notification was just pushed to my phone in fact.

Oh okay awesome.
Yes, didn't know they switched.
Edt: They look really slick in photos. Just never viewed one IRL or in the wild.

More pricing leaks
SR7 Black Edition at $500
SR7 $350
SR5 $250
SR3 $150
Unconfirmed of course. Really hope there is a 6 core option but appears that may be unlikely.
Also, I love love love that AMD and Samsung partnership.

Glossy?
Plzz

Well if their new high end monitors are any indication, they are some new almost-glossy coating. So probably a nice semi-gloss, which seems like the perfect mix, I would imagine Quantum Dot kicks it up a notch there too.
So here's to hoping.

Finally found that English breakdown from the Canard magazine Intel rumblings. Some interesting stuff in it.
quote:
They say Intel's in the most precarious time ever in its existence.
Employees blame Krzanich as the main cause, he's impatient and eager and keeps changing/canceling projects before they get anywhere.
Many employees/engineers got fired in recent times and they say Krzanich treats engineers (replacing them) like supermarket cashiers, many new hires are inexperienced and not getting trained well enough. The mood in the company is at an all-time low and many employees are in fear for their jobs.
Murphy Renduchintala is said to actually be a glimmer of hope in the whole mess as since he's been brought on he's been able to focus R&D properly and actually has technical background and makes decisions that engineers are able to get behind on. Some say they're hoping he'll replace Krzanich as CEO once they hope he'll get the boot from the board.
10nm is suffering all kinds of problems, both technical as well as management problems. The first samples that got in apparently were extremely disappointing in performance, not to talk about yields.
Kaby-Lake as well as Cannon-Lake were supposedly late designs just to save face and management was just hoping AMD wouldn't compete. Cannon-Lake is said to bring almost no architectural improvements.
10nm will sample in late 2017 but production won't happen till 2018.
Intel has nothing concrete till 2019.
Long-term, Intel is said to be very worried about x86 as ARM is gaining ever more. If they can't keep Apple happy in the Macbooks that would be the first sign of the decline of x86.
Because of the above, they say that they have one CPU project which can do hybrid x86/ARM execution and they say they'll have the first prototype wafers with this within the next few months.
There's an Intel CPU AMD GPU MCM in the works.
They state the sources on all of this were off-the record interviews with both current and ex-employees.

I've got money ready to go for Zen. I'll be Johnny on the spot to grab it as soon as it's available. I'll try to update if all goes well and I'm able to grab one.

Newegg email just released prices of the new Kaby Lake processors.
The i5-7500 is 209.99. I paid $190 after tax for my i5-6500.
The Skylake processors should decrease in price... but I have my doubts.

Ok I think this is the best I can do with air cooling, I think my 1st 1080 not being the higest version and giving me OC problems before the Strix x99 board may be holding me back a little:
FireStrike SCORE
28 664 with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080(2x) and Intel Core i7-6850K
Graphics Score 45 155
Physics Score 19 734
Combined Score 9 367
LINK
TimeSpy SCORE
13 075 with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080(2x) and Intel Core i7-6850K
Graphics Score 15 450
CPU Score 6 988
LINK
I think I if could manage to get a water cooler on my CPU that worked I could jump quite a bit, but me and water coolers don't seem to get along, probably operator error.
The cards never reach 70C so I know OC'ing them isn't a temp problem.
We will see what my HB bridge does when it gets here.

What about Ryzen? Was anything announced today? I've been out of the loop all day and will be for the next several days.

No, was Vega Architecture only.
I will still grab Ryzen probably this summer if it's an upgrade.

Thinking about picking one up. I'm still running a 3770K and the local MicroCenter has the 7700K for $329.00. It's been several years since I upgraded.

They'll sell like 10 of them.

About a year a go I posted in here asking for laptop advice for a family member. I had picked him one out, and I posted it here and there was other options better that you all had suggested that were better, I'm looking for more help!
I'm looking to buy a laptop in the next couple months to play a few games on when I travel. I mainly play 3 games - WoW, League of Legends, and occasionally Overwatch.
Any suggestions on laptops that could run those games really well around the <$1000 mark?
Thanks in advance!
