figured as much. You know what, screw it. I don't need all that, one of you will hire me. You are all OT ballers that throw money around right?

How big of a POS is that thing?

Would be cool for your HTPC build or something if you could fit it.

IDK but I would imagine it grinds and screams like a whore house.

Doesn't it look like a refurbished H100? Will do a little googling to find out.

I just read where the same people that make the one in your link make the H80s and H60s for Corsair.

ETA: Just read that this is the Non-retail version of the Corsair H60 actually.

Yeah stout reading the same thing now. Very interesting.. just like the same company makes all PSUs and the same company makes almost all case fans.

I'm picking one up for 20 bucks.

Lol, let me know how those coolers work out. The two reviews are pretty funny.

Update on my Haswell build in progress (for those eagerly awaiting):

Got back from my NOLA day trip and have been working slowly, since I've also had to entertain my 2-year-old and prevent her from snatching my parts (anyone with a toddler will tell you that even the most expensive toys are bullshite garbage compared to whatever mommy and daddy are holding at any given moment). I was able to keep her occupied by letting her fling around the most useless item in my pile of hardware: the stock Haswell cooler (which, of course, is the same design intel has used since the 90s).

I mounted my new Raystorm using the stock paste that came with the block -- the XSPC K2. Not a whole lot of data on its performance, but what info there is shows it performs alongside the top 10 or 15 pastes, so good enough. This is only a trial run with my first mount, and I may end up delidding.

I ran into an issue with the seasonic 1250w: the size. My old 1000w was slightly oversized compared to lower wattage ATX PSUs. Because of that, the 240 rad I mounted at the bottom was a little cramped. I guess I should've known that the seasonic would be an even larger build. Radiator simply wasn't going to fit as it was. Had to turn it around and drill new holes in the bottom of my case. Then I had to cut and dye some more durelene tubing. So much for a simple upgrade.

shite's getting cramped in this Haf 932. Probably looking into a caselabs soon, but I really want to see one in person before I buy it.

I like how the MSI manual acknowledges that Haswells run hot (in typical MSI broken english).

CaseLabs

As a watercooler you will love it. Fckking joy to work in one, you have all the room and access you want.

EDT: Trying to find old pictures of my HAF 912 rig. Think it was my first case/rig back into PC gaming. I seen it on my external HDD at work, IDK why I can't find it at home today. Wanted to show how many LED fans I had, lol.. straight cheese.

Water cooling takes a lot of time and work to set up I assume?

How bad of a bottle neck would this CPU set up be if I were to use my Sapphire 7870GHz in it?

CPU: AMD Athlon II X4 750K 3.4GHz Quad-Core
CPU Cooler: Corsair H70
Motherboard: ASRock FM2A75M-ITX R2.0 Mini ITX FM2
Memory: PNY 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM
Video Card: Sapphire Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition 2GB
Case: Fractal Design Node 304 Mini ITX Tower Case
Power Supply: Corsair 500W ATX12V

I have looked at so many GD options for building this rig. I started out thinking APU than switch to mATX with a CPU and buying a 650Ti but I only have $100 tied up in this 7870 so I figure why not use it instead.

I was reading on the CPU today and it's an FM2 Trinity chip minus the integrated graphics but it's unlocked and people are saying they are pushing it past i3s almost to i5 levels. FM2 is the only AMD socket you can get mITX for and after looking all week I decided I hate every damn mATX case out there and really like the set up on the Fractel Design case above which happens to be mITx. Anyway, that is the only FM2 chip AMD has that doesn't have the integrated graphics.

If it's all too much of a bottleneck I will either go Intel or cutback on the GPU some. I am not trying to push 60FPS on BF3 ultra with this or anything. Just an HTPC that will also play my controller enabled PC games on my TV really well.

I am sure I will change my mind yet again. I hate this shite. I will never be satisfied because there are too many damn options out there for a cool little build like this. The only good thing is I have a lot of stuff on that list already so I am only looking at like $270 out of pocket. PC Partpicker has that set up at $650.

Not really. Custom loops just require a ton of planning because space is limited. Caselabs cases are designed with a layout for water cooling. Makes it a whole lot easier planning and doing your idea without modding cases.

For 1 Tahiti? Not much at all, if any. Only limitation would be from the CPU side of things with games like BF3/Far Cry/Any Valve game which require more CPU power. That is a good CPU which OC's well. Just put 4.3Ghz on it for gaming.

As Coyote said, it just requires planning. But, a complex loop in a mediocre full-tower case is an utter bitch. The Haf 932 is really only meant to hold a 240 or 360 rad up top, and any other rads should be mounted externally in the back. I have 2 240s and a 120 in there after some mods, plus a dual-bay pump/res connected to a top fill port, parallel x-fire GPU cooling, and the CPU block.

Yea, people are saying it's not a problem to push it to 4.3 and I figure throwing this H70 I have on it will keep it cool enough in that tight space if I do a push/pull which that case has room for.

I was just worried because it has no L3 cache but that doesn't seem to be a problem when it's OC'd from what I have read.

That is an old archetiture from 2003, K8. Was an awesome design which smashed Intel until the C2D's Conroe in 2006.

L3 wasn't around because correct me if i'm wrong but L3 cache was really designed for multiple cores to check and tranfer data between cores. (Basically to speed up core to core communication and error checking)

Saying this, his you dont get the full benefit of multi core chip but it is still enough to game on if clocked higher. It clocks really really well too!

Sounds good.

Did you see that case? I am more pumped about it than anything.

ETA it has room for 6 HDDs but I will have to take out one of the bays for my GPU to fit in it. I will add an SSD to it for my OS eventually.
