First things first, but you will love it.
1. Enable and Install BETA builds. The correct BETA build is 441 and believe public 398 or 400. Format a USB drive to NTFS and create folders within one another with a text document with the word "beta" in the last folder. No quotes obviously.
Follow this path
\steamlink\config\system\update_branch.txt
Here is a link to a tutorial.
LINK
2. Please wire, lol. Can not stress this enough. Wireless sucks even if you don't have a noisy network, a $300 router and ridiculous signal strength.
I have tested my powerline adapter but doesn't stream anything above 720p all that well.
3. Unlimited Bandwidth/Nitrate is a little broken. I recommend sticking with automatic or 30mb/s. We can get into modding config files if you are hard wired via ethernet.
Let me know what you think! I love it!
Edt: If you have an XBONE controller and wireless adapter, it can be used but through virtualization. We can get into that after you set up.
Do you have an AMD or nvidia GPU atm? Please say nvidia.

I'd never be that low on the totem pole

Damn, AMD is terrible atm wirh encoding H.264 in Steam In-Home Streaming. They are focusing on fixing Intel and nvidia encoding first. What is the CPU? Might want to try which option encodes the best, your CPU or GPU.

Is the tech board now a home improvement board?
Ppl go there for light bulb recommendations? Just because it is LED doesn't make it "tech" in the sense we use tech.

7 Gamers, 1 CPU - Ultimate Virtualized Gaming Build Log
Misleading because he used two CPUs. Dual Xeons, 7 GPUs, 256GB of RAM.
Should've done a dual-PSU system, though. He used R9-Nanos because that's all he could put on EVGA's 1600W monster. Under load (7 instances of unigine heaven) it draws 1500W from the wall.

Watching that Linus video of the 7 VM gaming rig, my god. I actually don't usually watch his videos because he is a little silly and doesn't off much passed your basic knowledge but this build is wizard.

Yeah, his voice is annoying too. I totally feel his pain in having to remove coolers and install water blocks for SEVEN fricking graphics cards
I hate him for getting all that stuff for free, though.

Oh god yeah, I hate fckking with a loop. It was cool at first, but we have done it so much now the shtt is work.
EDT: You are also right.. why not the dual PSU system?

Maybe that caselabs case wouldn't accommodate one in addition to all the crap he needed for watercooling. Seems like it would, or else he could've upped the size. Or maybe EVGA dictated that requirement (I'm guessing he got the PSU for free too). Really a waste to be forced to use a bunch of Nanos. That EK bridge is cool.
Also, I can't believe he initially tried to do this in a single loop with one D5.
Also, those are g-sync monitors he's using...

Yea true. My S8 has room for dual PSU, but I have the extra PSU location covered with RADs.
I want those fckking Xeons.
Edt:
My same thought. The guy is silly at times. You remember that whole house loop build? What a disaster...

I'd like to build something like that one day, but probably just a maxed-out single-user system. I imagine the VMs and mouse/keyboard/display configuration and setup was annoying.
Nope, I'll have to look that up.
