They’ve already admitted they didn’t do true facial scans for the players like they do for the pro games. Considering they all wear helmets, that shouldn’t be a big deal.

Yeah only a select few will have their exact or near exact likeness. Don’t give a frick how close they got the likeness for the back up left guard from Akron.

I think they said they're using AI to generate faces and then touching them up.

Xbox or ps5 which version to get? For this landmark game, probably just get both. I don’t see where Dolby vision is on the Xbox. Version which surprises me

i can't believe people are making this decision difficult. buy it for whatever system you currently have. it's a sports game. one version isn't going to be superior to the other.

if you don't have either system, than that's a real problem.... you should have a current gen system. and to that, i say upgrade from what you have currently and be done with it.

I mean the PS5 is clearly superior than the XBOX Series XYZ123 or whatever it’s called this week.

I'm sure Xbox will make as big of a push as they can in the next year, but I think I read that PS5 has like 3 times the amount of users? So it seems like PS5 is the answer

how many of those units are attached to CFB fans? not sure. but EA has a strong foothold with MS/XBOX due to Madden, FIFA, and UFC. i would think this game would be cross-platform/cross-play so user base shouldn't be an issue when deciding on a current system.

This brought a tear in my eye. The Briles Veer and Shoot is in the game

It's so cool to see the revamped guys' influence on this game. This is an exact play they added to their custom plays/playbooks for 14.

Short answer: XBOX-X even though I would prefer PS5.

I've had a PS5 since launch and got the XBOX Series X a few months ago. I've always eventually had both systems since PS2/XBOX. My PS5 only has the normal storage plus the external hard drive that doesn't work with PS5 games (will store them but not play them). I think that gives me less than 700 GB of actual storage space to run PS5 games. I bought the 2TB additional drive to go with the new XBOX plus the external hard drive storing all of the older games from the last systems.

Going forward I'll use the XBOX to play sports games that I leave installed year round. With games like NBA2K taking up almost 200 GB space is precious on the PS5. That won't be an issue with the XBOX at almost 3TB of space. Most of my time with sports games after the initial launch and long sessions will be going back when I have 30 minutes or an hour of spare time and don't have time to jump into a different type of game. I wouldn't do that if I had to wait 30 minutes every time to transfer a game to the internal hard drive. So I'll use the XBOX for sports games, exclusives and Game Pass stuff.

The PS5 is my main media center. All streaming services including YoutubeTV run off of that. I'll also use the PS5 to play any new games that are on both systems (the ones I'll play until I'm done and then move on to something else) plus any exclusives. I also have a huge library on both systems of old PS/XBOX games that I can go back to and run straight off the external drives.

I have both the Series S 1 TB and the PS5. The PS5 was great for Spider Man 2 and God of War Ragnarok, but I can't say it's been worth it otherwise. There just arent as many exclusives.

I've used my Series S way more because of gamepass and most of the games for PS5 can just be had for the Series S. I would have never thought I would be an Xbox guy after never owning one and have had playstations my entire life. Pretty disappointed with my PS5. I have friends on both so I'll likely get the game for both.

Why would you do that when the game has cross play?

They are buying a console because it has the gaming version of Netflix when they first launched their app, don’t ask them real questions.

Disappointed that you can’t play CPU teams. I used to play multiple different teams a week. Like if I saw unranked Iowa playing no.5 MSU I would play as Iowa to see if I could pull the upset. Or sometimes I play as option team but I didn’t want to control them for the whole season just that one or two games. Or of course the NCG or random bowl matchups

Now it looks like you have to create a coach for a team in order to play any of their games and you can ditch them later. But that would be a lot harder to do what I did before

Still excited for the game but probably what I’ll miss the most. My seasons used to last a really long time but I had a lot of fun micromanaging it

Crazy that this thread has gone 49 pages but we do love college football.

Anyone have "gamer" friends who refer to it as "sportsball?"

This kinda sucks. I haven't even given thought to whether I would be able to play with old NCAA people.
