Idk if there's any logic to it. I simmed the week, he committed to UT. But wanting to test the logic in the game, I created a save point and wanted to see if he would still commit to UT if I simmed it again.

PSA: be very careful changing a player’s position when it’s not the official position changing window. I just changed a RE to LE just to balance the roster and not have a “need”, he went from a 77 to a 69. Changing him back did not correct it

I don't know. I've played a ton of zone and just get picked a part. Then again, i'm getting picked apart no matter what, so who knows

Oklahoma's QB went 24/27 against me as Auburn for 438 yards and 5 TD's. Most wasn't dink and dunk stuff. Would just be three step drops or so, quick enough that it is impossible to bring pressure, and then a laser over all my defenders to someone streaking on the outside that is somehow already behind my coverage when i'm playing over the top coverage.

I actually like to see this

Changing positions, Jersey #s, and equipment was always one of my favorite parts of dynasty

Unpopular opinion, I am truly over this game. It's fricking hard af to do anything. Passing meters are stupid and don't work correctly, defense is non existent. Everything feels clunky about it.

So there’s a little learning curve?? So what. You guys expected to come out and immediately dominate a brand new game that you haven’t played in over a decade?

I haven’t had any issues adjusting to the passing meter. It’s simple as hell. Are you leading your receivers with the left stick? Maybe it’s YOU and not the game. You say the defense is nonexistent?? My last three games, on all American difficulty I’ve given up 17, 28, and 21 points. I got my arse kicked at first but I adjusted…

Is the game perfect? No it’s not. Clearly it still needs some polishing. But you front running cry babies bitched and complained for the better part of a decade, and now that you can’t perform how you expected to perform, you think the game is trash. I honestly don’t get the mindset of some of you people

I'm getting the game tonight and can't wait to compare my experience to some of these

I think I should be a bit better off though because I've been playing madden 24.

All i see is people bitching that they can’t beat everyone 84-3 and sign all the 5 star prospects while getting arse shots of livvy on the menu screen.

People need to be grateful and stop with the ‘this game is broken ’ and the ‘I am DONE with this game’ crap… ungrateful pussies

Yeah, the game is what the game is. People need to go ahead and accept that they are gonna have to adapt to the game, because there isn't a whole lot EA can do at this point. They can fix bugs and issues but the gameplay largely is what it will be for the rest of the year.

Im hoping I can figure something out on defense because right now it feels impossible at times. I'm sure a lot of teams feel that way in real life as well though.

The AI just needs some tweaking. It is way too good predicting routes and the player AI teammates blow assignments way too much.

I think on defense, part of the issue right now is the auto-adjust's the D will do to shifts or motion. It cause player to run completely out of position. Turning that off seemed to help, in the coach's strategies.

Also, in my dynasty, somehow the AI is 6-6 on 50+ field goals against me. They've missed 4-5 under 30. Make it make sense

I've watched some replays on some of my most WTF happened plays. Watched one where i'm playing cover 3, my outside CB has the deep 1/3. I played off coverage with over the top positioning. I made no other adjustments. When the ball is snapped, he takes a few steps up, basically covering the curl flat, and doesn't move from there as the WR just runs straight by him.

Yeah I'm back at AA level but I dropped down one to make sure it was a me thing and get used to some things. Now AA isn't as bad as before.

Easy there tough guy. And secondly, i'm not a gamer, i'm a casual video game player.

I haven't either, but i haven't done the new passing controls.

Yes, along with every message board that discusses this game.

OH, i'm sure, eventually, i'll adjust. But, as a parent, i don't have a lot of time to spend playing hours on end getting used to the game. I'm not expecting it to be easy and simple, but the CPU controlled defense in the game is garbage and that's pretty much universal. I'm happy for you, however, that you are good at this video game.

1) So because they made a game that we all purchased, we aren't allowed to criticize the obvious flaws?
2) I don't think the game is necessarily trash. I do think it needs some patches though.

Anecdotally, i tried bumping up the difficulty back to AA again, playing UCLA. Drove it down the field, then of course, interception on the 6. They drove down the field methodically, only getting 2 or 3 3rd downs, but converting all of them. So, i exited the game, dropped it back down to varsity and beat UCLA 42-10. I think i need to reduce my 7 minute periods to 6 minute, and also i'm hoping a better team makes it close. I don't want to win every game, but i also don't want to struggle against the FCS panthers. There should be a happy medium between the 2.

This seems to be the glitch. Zone coverages leave gigantic gaps and it's mostly due to the CPU player not continuing his coverage. This is the same for varsity too, the difference, is it's a little easier to rush the qb.

My assumption as well. I'm going to try boosting up the player pass coverage awareness slider and see if that helps at all. If i'm playing single high safety and press man on the outside and just get burned, so be it. that shouldn't be the case if i'm calling the right defense to prevent that while also not being given enough time to realistically pressure the QB.
