Companions make the world go round, I've got a mage that follows me around and it really helps to have someone else to draw attention.

Well, I started with a one hand block build but I seem to be using archery most of the time.
Finally got my first house so it is nice to be able to drop stuff off.
For those that hate the tiny first house, there are 5 you can own and you can buy packs to spruce up the house from the guy that sells it to you.
I spent about an two hours in some grotto trying to kill Sprigans, bears and sabre tooths without getting killed. Took forever trying to hide and shoot from way above. Finally got lucky and the bear took out 2 spriggans for me.
Got killed by a dragon and bear tag teaming me.
Does anyone know if there is a negative to using heavy armor and casting or using archery. In oblivion there was a huge negative modifier.
I haven't done many quests yet I'm already on a hit list. That is straight out of Fallout 3.
Contemplating a new start with a better archery build but not sure yet.
I've played about 25 hours between 3 characters so far. I'm about at the point where I start my Real build.

Anyone know the lock combo for the second door in south fringe sanctum? Looking for steel war axe of frogs. Choices are butterfly, bear and owl.

If this is the quest involving the golden claw, check the mosaics on the wall out (the ones that are lit by lighting). I think it goes butterfly (outer) bear (middle) and owl (inner), or you last two might need to be swapped.

Look at the golden claw in your inventory, then spin it around. It has the combo on the back of it.

Holy shite, just ran into two dragons virtually back to back, that sucked... but was awesome at the same time

I'm digging the iron man helmet on my mage. It's light armor

This is my question too.
I love using Conjuration+2hand, but not sure what armor to use. I'm going with restoration, so maybe relying on wards is ok? But I won't have a shield so I wonder if Heavy armor is necessary.
Decisions. Decisions. And I need to drop a perk into either one now. I was initially leaning toward heavy, but I have been killing foes easily and can heal quickly.
Thoughts?

nailed it
I just think it's funny that it's light armor
but I'm ok with that because it's so hard to find gear with mage stats and armor at all (frick circlets)
also: impact in the destruction tree feels like cheating.
dual firebolt, target staggered, dual firebolt, target staggered, continue until dead and target is nowhere near you
I just killed a blood dragon. My lightning bolts did hardly any damage to it.

wards are annoying because you have to devote a hand to using it
I'd rather just dual wield and kill the target faster

Well guys. I settled down, got married and bought a house

I've heard you can marry people but I haven't seen any way to actually do it

I use ward for dragons quite a bit. I have fought some pretty tough dragons and it was the only way to stay alive long enough to get some shots off. It just took a little while longer to kill them.

I think I'm gonna play through first as a warrior and then come back through as a Mage. Can't really beat bludgeoning things to death.

Just came in here to say that this is my GOTY, and it isn't really close. Fricking awesome game.

I killed a blood dragon as well, the step up from the run of the mill dragon I guess. Definitely gave me quite a fight. So has anyone upgraded any shouts outside of the initial one? I keep finding new ones but they are relatively weak.
