Ivarstead.
You're gonna have to hoof it around that big arse mountain to the east side. Town of Ivarstead is there and the entrance to the 7,000 steps or whatever to High Hrothgar are there.

Finally able to start this game. Still level one, but a few quick questions: (I remember some of these were answered already in this thread but it's a lot to look through.)
- Level one in Riverwood. Mainly want focus on heavy armor, two handed weapons, smithing, and enchanting.
- Leveling Smithing/enchanting quickly. Make iron daggers or hide bracelets right? I still have to buy the ore and pelts or find them right? Meaning it'll cost gold out of my pocket. Is there no endless way to profit from the items I make to fund the leveling?
- Like enchanting the dagger/bracelet and selling it would fund everything I need? The only problem being lack of access to soul gems and enchants at level one. Can I find them around easily? Or wait till I'm a higher level?
- And lastly, any detriment to leveling these two skills first and fast? I don't want to be level 15~20 with no two-handed or heavy armor? Will I still be able to combat fairly decent and kill enemies?
Thanks for any help. (Any page #'s that these questions are already answered on would be welcomed as well.)

Smith iron daggers and then enchant them and then profit.

I climbed those 7,000 steps this morning.

Starting to figure things out in this game. Big question I have though: is what you learn from disenchanting an item based on your level? Should I be holding onto some of the better weapons/armors (I have a drain health one) and disenchanting them later?

Nah, disenchant away. Main coefficient for enchanting is soulstone quality, along with enchanting skill

so if I suck at enchanting right now the 12 points or so of electric damage(disenchanted electric weapon) will increase as I get better?

Nah... The weapon and enchant itself won't get stronger, but, as you level up and find better soul gems, the same enchant can be applied to stronger weapons and be more powerful

yeah I two handed power struck my companion on numerous times. Amazing how strong that shite is when its accidently performed on a follower who got in my way.
I really wish they would've taken friendly fire off with your followers. When I'm surrounded by a group of bandits or something and I'm just hacking away and they yahoos go and get in the middle of it and get dead. I'm almost out of companions.

I've like ten companions killed. There can't be many more left

God damnit, Lydia had a whole bunch of shite on her and she went missing somewhere in the long arse trek to that giant neon underground place. Everything I'm reading says her dead body would be in the Whiterun catacombs, which she isn't. I've waited days and she's not in the Whiterun home or Dragonsreach. I asked someone else to follow me and they did with no mention of having another follower. I think she just done left me.

D3 people here is your bench mark, NO IMing!
Posted on 5/14/12 at 11:14 pm to DoUrden
200 pages, not bad. D3 should eclipse that.
Certainly won't be IMing as I doubt anyone will give a frick about anything any of us say unless its about d3
